Unleashing Ryker Power

 After all, it is something they agreed to with the man in front of them. As the royal guard of the Birak Kingdom, they will lose the face of the royal family if they decide to renegade on their agreement.

 The two guards prepared themselves, knowing that the next attack would be more powerful than they could ever imagined. With how easy he made it look blocking their attacks, he is powerful, a lot stronger than the two of them, even if it hurt their pride to admit it so.

 Nonetheless, they would do their best, even if it unlikely for them to be able to block the man's attack. Then again, blocking their combined attack should tire him out somewhat. So, they might be able to block what is coming.

 The man looked at them, seemingly contemplating, both their pleasure and annoyance. What is he waiting for? Then again, the longer he delayed it, they could recover more of their qi.

 Ryker stare at the two, pondering which attack he should use. After all, he possessed so many powerful Technique, some of it he created by combining two different Paths before using a very simplistic attack.

 He plan to do so once more, combining two different Laws and using it against the two. Right now, he is under the dilemma of choosing which Paths to use.

 Law of Death is out of the equation. The severe effect could do prolong harm to the two guards. He want to beat them not cripple them. Aside from it, it's counterpart, Law of Life is also out. While it can be use in offensive manner, it is hard to so. The Law of Life is best used for support and healing after all.

 The rest can be used but it's the combination that elude him. He could just use the Lore of Sword combine with any of the other Paths, but it seem so predictable. Besides from just defeating the two, he also want to test his strength.

 While doing so against Genesis Sea experts, no matter how powerful, it overkill, if he can control it somewhat, to make it so his attack is weaker but still strong enough to destroy what defense the two could make, it would be useful when he hunt down the bandits like Lariz asked him to.

 After thinking of it for quite sometime, the dual-haired man decide to use the Law of Water and Law of Fire in his next attack. Taking a chunk from his Genesis Sea, he split it before turning one into a raging inferno while the other one become a tranquil lake.

 The two different qi began to fuse with one another. While it would be hard if it was a year ago, right now, he can fusw the two conflicting Law with some difficulty. 

 The flame and water slowly pacify as it swirled around, before completely fusing, the water and flame qi no longer clashing inside the orb, harmonizing with one another.

 He then took out his sword. The sword he used at the moment is just a Genesis weapon, a high-grade one but still nothing compared to an artifact.

 But it had been accompanying him for quite sometime and he wanted to see if it could hold him holding back. The harmonize qi swirled around the sword, making it hum.

 Ryker could tell it is having trouble maintaining the amount of qi, though it did manage to not break yet. With his attack ready, he looked at the guards before swinging at the part between them.

 That is the only thing that could come to mind as Sela watched the sword slash heading their way.

 'How can a 4th Stage Genesis Sea expert be so powerful?!' she asked at the recess of her mind. Nevertheless, she still need to try and block it, even if she is doubtful she can achieve that.

 At the same time, Adia has the same thought as Sela, knowing they bite more than they could chew. Nonetheless, with their pride as royal guard, as well as keeping the face of the royal family, they will not back off and asked for mercy.

 They had agreed to this, and they will accept what is to come, even if they will be heavily injured as a result. Looking at one another, the two synchronize their qi, slowly forming a qi barrier though it is just to protect them for a brief moment.

 Their true defense is by using wind and lightning qi together, and formed a resonanting barrier. 

 The two different qi slowly merged. While it would be hard for one to do such thing all alone, unless with talent as well a Cultivation Art or Technique that make it easier, two people merging it make it easier, as they will be able to control their qi to allow them to resonate.

 A some of lightning and wind qi formed around them, as they braced themselves for the clash. "Illuminating Storm Dome!"

 The sword of flame and water descend towards the dome, hitting it. But contrary to what the two guards thought, there is no clash between their defense and his offense.

 The sword cut through the defense they are proud of like a piece of paper, before landing between them, leaving a sword mark on the floor. 

 Adia and Sela's eyes nearly bulged as they saw the mark on the floor. While it is bad enough for his attack to destroy their defense, it is another to leave a mark on the floor of the arena.

 After all, it could even handle an attack of a Half-Noble expert, yet he manage to leave a mark, showing how powerful he is. They watched with a shock look as he took out the sword he used, which is not even an artifact weapon, and put it inside his storage ring.

 They don't know what he is planning with it but it still a blow to their pride for him to be able to defeat them with just a Genesis-grade sword.

 As he walked towards them, the Crown Prince quickly announced, "The winner of the match, Ryker," he then turned towards the two guards and asked, "Do you think I was wrong with me choosing him as your leader for this task?"

 The two guards shook their head. If it was before, they can say something but after their utter defeat in Ryker's hand, they would not dare to say such thing.

 Seeing how they no longer complain, for now at least, the Crown Prince turned to Ryker with a serious expression on his face.

 "Tomorrow morning, you will begin your task of eliminating the bandits, am I clear,"

 Ryker saluted the older man, "Yes, Your Excellency,"
