Final Match of the Tournament

 Third-Day of Tournament

-x-

 "Lightning Spirit Spear!"

"Aaahhh!" Ryker's opponent was sent flying to the wall, his body twitching from the lightning. The referee did a quick check before nodding.

"Winner of the match, Lightning Warrior!"

The crowd cheered as the underdog won his second match of the main tournament, his supporters slowly growing in number.

-x-

 "Urgh!"

Another man was sent crashing to the ground, a claw mark on his chest as he tried to stand up despite the serious bleeding but fainted, the impact and loss of blood knocking him out.

"Winner of the match, Battle Demon!" the man let out a vicious smirk, though that didn't hinder the crowd from cheering for him.

 Fourth Day of Tournament

-x-

 "Mountain Shredding Lightning!"

A stream of lightning headed towards his opponent, the woman's legs shaking before she decided she didn't want to die yet.

"I surrender!" the lightning stopped, but not before the woman fell on her knees, a steam of yellowish liquid could be seen coming out of her lower part.

"Winner of the match, Lightning Warrior!" one of this day, he would make them forget the horrid nickname.

-x-

"Stop, I surrender!" another one of his opponents surrendered, his clawed hand just barely touching the man's throat.

The vicious-looking man grits his teeth. If not for the fact this is not a life-and-death match, he would have killed all of his opponents by now.

He looked at the young master of the Mortola Family with scorn, rage flickering in his eyes.

 Fifth Day of Tournament

-x-

"I-I s-surrender," just one minute into the match, and his opponent had surrendered. Ryker sighed, though the action made sense as very few people wouldn't be scared when surrounded by several Lightning Hawk, one of them more than strong enough to send his opponent flying from the few exchanges before.

Ryker smiled, looking forward to the upcoming match between him and the mysterious yet vicious man. Maybe then he would find out what the sense of familiarity is all about.

-x-

"I surrender!" unlike Ryker's opponent, the man's opponent just surrendered when the match started, the bloodlust the man emitted enough to make him frightened enough to not even want to fight.

The man gritted his teeth once more. There is not enough blood in the match. He tried to calm himself. The young master of the Mortola Family, no matter how annoying he can be, had promised him the chance to perform a massacre inside the hidden realm.

If he could drink enough blood and satiate his bloodlust, his chances of advancing to the next major realm would be assured. However, the thirst for carnage is slowly getting to him. He tried to calm himself down, his chance to ascend depended on him holding back his desire for destruction to not be detained or worse, killed by the Duke or the top powerhouse of the Duchy.

He bit his lip until blood flowed from it, licking it in an attempt to satiate himself. Soon, soon he would be free from this hunger.

-x-

"To think your word come true, my Lord. It seems the boy is more powerful than we could ever imagine," the ancestor of the Kamirne Family said to the Duke, who could only dumbly nod.

Who would have guessed, that the talk they had during the first few days would come true, the young man had reached the finale, and most of his match was won with a dominating victory, no injuries, and not even a scratch had landed on him.

He might even be the winner if not for the obstacle standing in his way, the most bloodthirsty fighter he had seen in any of his tournaments, and he had seen plenty of those in his long life.

If he could beat the man, which is a tall order in itself, he would receive the five entry token into the hidden realm, but the question of whether he could protect it is the real one. After all, no matter how strong he is, he still couldn't hold a candle against a Genesis Spring expert, much less a Genesis Lake expert.

"If he won, I will offer him my protection. If any fools dare to harm him, then the perpetrators and his entire family would receive my wrath," the Duke announced, his men just nodding at his promise.

He then looked at the young man, wondering what kind of secret he possessed to make him into this strong of a cultivator, enough to beat up a lot of stronger opponents.

-x-

As for the crowd, with his victory being mostly him overwhelming his opponent with skills and superior technique, it didn't take much to guess for them to gossip about the rising underdog.

"He could beat a lot of Genesis Source experts with ease, maybe he would win the tournament,"

"But the Battle Demon is strong too. It likely will be a close match between the two,"

"How would you know? The Battle Demon likely hides some trump card for the final match,"

"So did the Lightning Warrior. The last match had him easily beat his opponent without even trying too hard so he could do the same with the Battle Demon!"

"Oh yeah, then let's bet on it!"

 "Bring it on!"

Similar discussions happened all across the city, with two sides debating on who will be the champion of the tournament.

 Day Sixth of Tournament

-x-

"Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you had been waiting for, the last match to end this tournament.

On the right, the underdog of the match, yet he easily beat up those who should be stronger than him with ease. All, give your hands to the Lightning Warrior!" Ryker felt his eyes twitch from the announcement. Hopefully when the tournament is over the people will forget about it.

"On the right, he is as vicious as he is strong. The man that trampled all over his opponent with sheer ease. The favorites of today's final match. Give your biggest applause to the Battle Demon!"

The man let out a vicious smirk before eying his last opponent, though he was not worried by the upcoming fight. 'He must be using some forbidden technique to close the gap between him and the rest of his opponent. I can easily beat him up if he didn't use it,'

 "Now, let the match, begin!"

As the announcer began the fight, the man charged towards Ryker, intending to end the fight. He also planned to kill the young man, satiating his bloodlust before it could get even worse.

He even weaves around him, hoping to confuse him before delivering the killing blow. Yet his movement seemed to not phase the young man, who seemingly could see him despite his best attempt.

Before he could make his next move, Ryker flickered, appearing in front of him, before punching him, "Lightning God Fist!" he called out, the fist slamming into the man's gut and sending him flying to the wall.
