Chapter 5

[July 17th, 2009, Amazon Rainforest, South America]

In the middle of the Amazon Rainforest, a young girl and her brother were hopping from branch to branch, seemingly running away from something.

The girl's tan skin was dripping with sweat and her spotted cat ears were pointed up the whole time.

"Himari, what about mom and dad!" The young boy yelled as he swung from a branch with his tail. His sister, Himari shook her head, "They will be fine! They told us to run for a reason!"

"NO! I CAN'T LEAVE THEM WITH THOSE BAD MEN!" Himari's younger brother, Hunya, yelled as he stopped running much to his sister's dismay. Himari grabbed Hunya by the collar and growled, "IF MOTHER AND FATHER BELIEVED WE COULD HAVE FACED THOSE MEN TOGETHER, THEN WE WOULDN'T BE RUNNING RIGHT NOW! NOW LET'S GO!"

Hunya bared his teeth, "AS THE FUTURE LEADER OF THE TRIBE, I CAN'T RUN AWAY EVERYTIME THERE IS A PROBLEM! I HAVE TO HELP THEM!"

Himari, overwhelmed with emotion, slapped her younger brother, "HUNYA! GET A GRIP! THOSE MEN ARE SLOWLY KILLING US OFF, SOON THERE WON'T BE A TRIBE TO LEAD! SO STOP CLINGING ONTO A TITLE THAT HAS NO WEIGHT AND RUN FOR NANAUE'S SAKE!"

Himari realized the weight of her words and hugged her brother tightly, "I'm sorry for saying that but its the truth Hunya. We may be the last of our people and I don't want you to die in vain. So can you please keep running? I promise, once we reach the location mother told me about, we will have our revenge no matter how long it takes."

Hunya sniffled and nodded before both of their ears perked up, their pursuers were getting closer. The siblings began running again at full speed until they could smell the saltiness of the ocean.

"We are getting closer!" Himari exclaimed with a smile that was quickly wiped off her face. The reason Himari and Hunya were running to the coast is because her mother had a small dinghy set up for them just in case.

That dinghy was now surrounded by the men who slowly hunted their tribe, Hydra. They were all fitted in tactical gear and had high power assault rifles with them. The highly trained men noticed the two siblings and trained their guns on them.

"Hunya, I'm sorry," Himari cried as she held her brother who was trying his best to be tough. The Hydra soldiers tied Himari and Hunya up and spoke in a language they couldn't understand.

'Nanaue, if you can hear me, please save me and my brother.' Himari prayed to the patron God of her tribe, Nanaue, God of Rain, Rivers, and Fish. A large ship came and the men began to place Himari and Hunya on the boat. Himari thought her God wasn't going to help her until it began to rain.

The men were unbothered by the rain until the rain turned into a thunderstorm. The waves began to grow violent and rocked the boat Himari was in. Himari then heard various gunshots and yells until everything went quiet.

A few moments later, the small room she was placed in with her brother was opened and her eyes will never forget this sight. A tall gray-haired man with light-blue skin, gills on the side of his neck, and dark blue eyes smiled at her.

"Are you two okay?" The man asked as he sliced open their cage with his trident. Himari could only say one name, "Nanaue..."

[Yuka's POV]

"I'M FREE AT LAST!!" Yuka yelled as he exited the trident. He began kissing the Atlantean ruins and hugging random fishes.

"Look at what you did to my papa gramps, he's a weirdo now," Gera, who now looked like a 12 year old, said as she facepalmed herself.

Poseidon, who was in the form of a small water dragon sighed, "I guess this is what 3 years of zero outside contact does to a man."

"NO! THIS IS WHAT 3 YEARS OF HELLISH TORTURE DOES TO A MAN!!" Yuka yelled with a mouthful of fish. At the current pace he was eating, he was going to eat the local population into extinction.

"Blah, blah, blah, you got stronger right? Not as strong as I would like you to be, but you can only learn so much from one person," Poseidon shrugged as he froze Yuka in place to stop him from driving the local population into extinction.

"Where are we going now, papa?" Gera asked and Yuka grinned, "We are going to make contact with some humans of course! I would love to see the time period we are in right now."

"And imagine all of the human food we can eat!" Yuka exclaimed with hearts in his eyes. Gera began to drool thinking about human food and Poseidon shook his head at the antics of the father and daughter, "You two are hopeless."

"Have you two forgotten your appearances? Blue skin, gills, and a row of very sharp teeth, I don't think the humans are going to like you very much." Poseidon said causing Gera and Yuka to frown, "We can't stay underwater our entire lives, that's so boring! Besides, I look human enough. I just have to change my skin color and hide my gills." Yuka gave Poseidon a thumbs up and Poseidon slapped Yuka with a water hand.

"Tell me, how are you going to change your skin color?" Poseidon asked and Yuka shrugged, "I'll get a tan or something."

Poseidon sighed, "Very, very hopeless." Yuka gave Poseidon a silly grin and they began swimming away from Fallen Atlantis. They began swimming along the coast of South America because Gera and Yuka enjoyed the warm waters and tropical fish.

"I don't like fishing boats, they make too much noise," Gera said as she looked at a fishing boat from below. Yuka looked at the same fishing boat and frowned as he saw the logo on the side of the boat.

'So we are in the Marvel Universe. Can't believe it took me three years to find that out...' Yuka thought. The boat above them was a Hydra ship and he was sure there were no fish in there.

"That's not a fishing boat. That's a Hydra ship probably transporting something dangerous or preparing to transport something dangerous. We're gonna follow it," Yuka said as he began to swim under the Hydra ship.

"Papa, what is Hydra?" Gera asked.

"An evil group of people hoping to dominate the world." Yuka said with a shrug. They continued to follow the ship until they heard various men speaking German.

Yuka peaked his head out of the water and saw two children being tied up but these children looked like if jaguars had babies with a human.

'So, other non-human races with animal-like features exist on the surface?' Yuka took note of that before his face turned serious. He summoned Poseidon, who was in his trident form and created a storm.

"Gera, stay here. I'm about to cleanse the Earth of filth," Yuka said with disdain. He made the rain pour harder and created a thunderstorm. He made the waves violent before he showed himself to the Hydra soldiers.

"Hello there," Yuka said in perfect German. The soldiers wasted no time and began firing their weapons at Yuka. Their bullets bounced off his scales and he smiled, "That kinda tickles, you guys got anything that can scratch this itch on my back?"

Yuka vanished from his position only to reappear in the middle of the soldiers.

"What t-" That solider couldn't finish his sentence because his head was 30ft in the air. Every time Yuka swung his trident a man would fall and after 30 seconds, 45 highly trained Hydra soldiers were in pieces.

Yuka then walked towards the boat where the children were placed. He cut into the hull with ease and saw the two kids tied up in a small cage.

"Are you two okay?" Yuka asked as he flashed his sharp teeth. He cut open the cage and he heard the older child say Nanaue, whatever that meant. He carried them both out after he washed away all of the blood and guts from the Hydra soldiers.

"Nanaue, please save my tribe!" The older child cried as she tugged on Yuka's training Gi. Yuka squatted down to meet her at eye level, "Are these bad men terrorizing your people too?"

The older child nodded and Yuka frowned for a split second before putting on a bright smile, "Don't worry then. I'll handle them for you. What are your names?"

"I'm Himari." The older child said.

"H-Hunya." The younger child said in a small voice.

"Alright then Himari and Hunya, can you go with that girl over there? That's my daughter, Gera," Yuka pointed at Gera who was sitting on a rock swinging her legs.

Himari and Hunya nodded as Yuka looked into the forest with a deep frown, "It seems I have more cleaning to do."
