Avengers vs The X-Men Part 4

After leaving Hope with the Avengers Nathan returned to his home at the Jean grey school, where he and the other students watched what was happening during the war of the phoenix five and the avengers. And true to his word he stood aside and watched. However, Unlike Atom, Kyle upon seeing what was happening had a choice to make.

" They're taking prisoners, Kyle."

Storm explained to the man.

Kyle got up from his seat and placed on his ring.

" If what you said is true, and knowing you Roro, it most likely is, then that means Scott's gone to far. I can't sit back and let him hold people prisoners. I'll help you guys get them free, but even I doubt I'll have the strength to beat the phoenix force."

Kyle explained to the woman.

" I wouldn't ask you to risk your life if i didn't think we could win Kyle."

Ororo said to the man.

" I know you wouldn't Roro. Now, let's go set things right with green lanterns might."

Kyle smiled as he suited up.

" Right follow me. We'll meet the others at the prison along with Xavier."

Storm explained to the man as the two stepped out of the man's house.

" And Kyle?"

Storm called out to the man.

" Thank you."

She said.

Kyle smiled at the woman and nodded in response. His body began glowing and he and storm shot up into the air.

The two then rushed towards the volcanic prison that Illyana had created to hold the avengers they had defeated.

Hours later after meeting with Xavier and scouting out the prison itself, storm and Kyle were joined by the avengers who were coming to get their people back.

' Lantern? What are you doing here?'

Logan asked as he and the others ran into the cave.

' Helping you guys put a stop to this non-sense. I didn't agree with you guys taking the girl. But taking prisoners of war is a step to far. Especially since the galaxy is still in the process of trying to heal from its last war.'

Kyle explained to the man.

' Enough chatter we need to move quickly.'

Xavier spoke telepathically.

The group the nodded in agreement and began making their way through Magik's hellscape slowly to find their friends.

" This... This is unconscionable. Magik has raised a portion of Limbo to the earthly plane."

Strange explained to the others as they crossed the demon filled volcano.

" Talk about Hell on earth."

Iron fist stated.

" Makes for an effective prison, I'll bet. Let's find our people."

She-Hulk exclaimed as she and the others peaked out from behind the rocks they were hiding behind.

Strange flew over to the others and cast an invisibility spell to cover his and the others tracks and allow them to move through the prison undetected.

' Be wary. Even my Invisibility spell will not cloak us from the manner of eyes in this place."

Strange explained to the group.

" We should maintain telepathic silence for as long as possible. At least until I can locate the minds of your friends"

Xavier said to the group before silencing his telepathy.

" You smell what I smell?"

One of the many demons asked as he slunk down from the ceiling.

" Dinner."

The other demon replied doing the same as his friend.

The avengers plus Kyle and Storm continued moving through the prison dodging every demon along the way, moving at a speed that kept them from being sniffed out by the hungry demons until they arrived in the main chamber of the prison. There they found Spider-woman, Thor, Ms. Marvel and a few others.

' We found them.'

Spiderman stated.

' Damn. Are they even still alive?'

Kyle asked as he observed the men and women hung upside down and being feasted on by the creatures.

' Barely. These creatures are feasting on their minds and perhaps even their souls.'

Strange explained to the group.

' Let's get them out of here. Now.'

Steve ordered.

' I cannot open the portal to Kun'Lun in this place. There is too much demonic interference.'

Lei Kun explained.

' And my teleportation skills are being blocked. We'll have to carry them out by hand.'

Strange explained once again.

While the others were busy trying to figure out a way to get the trapped avengers to safety, Kyle's ring and spiderman's spider senses alerted the two men to the coming danger.

" You guys are gonna wanna figure that out quickly! We got trouble!"

Kyle exclaimed as he created a shield to block Illyana's sword from cutting him in half.

Illyana and colossus attacked the group with force. Illyana's blade was cutting through the constructs that Kyle created, and Colossus was overpowering the other avengers.

Strange and Storm stepped in to help Kyle battle Illyana while the others attempted to overpower Colossus.

" No! Don't worry about me. Just get the others and get out! I'll hold them off!"

Kyle yelled to the others.

" Don't a fool! You can't handle them alone!"

Storm yelled to the man over the explosions the phoenixes were setting off.

" Maybe, not. But I can stall them long enough for you guys to get out safe. Now go!"

Kyle yelled to the woman, he then turned back to the brother and sister duo and erected a wall behind him. Separating the two from the others and preventing them from going after them.

" you're going to stop us? And how exactly do you plan on doing that?"

Illyana asked the man as she and her brother approached him.

" The good old fashioned American way. BLOW YOUR ASSES THE FUCK UP WITH BIG FUCKING GUNS!"

Kyle yelled. He concentrated and summoned out multiple tanks, turrets and for himself a giant mech.

" Now Get some!"

Kyle opened fire on the phoenix duo with all of his armaments

On the other side of the world thanks to the efforts of Kyle Rayner the avengers were able to get their comrades home just fine.

" This is the last of them! Hurry! The volcano is erupting!"

Iron fist exclaimed.

" Damn it, Kyle still trapped in there! I'm going back!"

Storm exclaimed as she, wolverine, black panther and Captain America ran back through the portal to help the man. Though the Volcano was about to explode from the force of their fight, you could say things were much safer there as Kun'Lun was suddenly greeted with force.

As the other heroes were getting ready to settle down after their crazy prison break a bright light flared in the sky above the ancient city.

" What in the world is that?"

Hope asked Iron fist as she looked up into the sky,

" That is what it looks like when someone tears their way through dimensions. I am sorry, Hope. I truly am."

Iron fist explained to the young girl as he looked up into the sky.

" Sorry? What do you... Oh god."

Hope exclaimed as she realized what it was the man was looking at

" I am sorry we will never get to finish your training."

Iron fist said to the girl.

" HOPE!"

Scott called out to the girl as his form appeared through the light.

The heroes and Hope all looked up in defeat as the man floated above them.

" Time to come home."

Scott said to the girl.

Scott was ready to take Hope back by force if he needed to. However, as the defeated heroes prepared to defend the girl another ray of Hope appeared to fight against the darkness.

" No, Scott."

Atom said to the man as he appeared in the sky above Hope. His Nuclear energy pushing back against the portion of Phoenix force that Scott had.

" It's time we brought this chaotic war to an end. One way... Or another."

Atom declared
