Avengers vs The X-Men part 3

" Ugh! My body feels like lead. Where am I?"

Nathan asked as he woke from his slumber, his body was wrapped in bandages from the injuries he sustained from the explosion on the moon.

" Easy, man. Easy you were out for a whole day man."

Kyle said to Nathan as he helped ease him up in bed.

" What did I miss?"

Nathan asked the man.

" Well, the phoenix five started going around the world, terraforming wastelands to provide food, have been giving out free energy, More water sources E.T.C. But you did miss the Avengers attacking us again. Hope went with them this time. It's been weird man."

Kyle explained to the man.

" Was it her choice?"

Nathan asked.

" What?"

Kyle replied in confusion.

" Was it Hope's choice to go with the avengers?"

Nathan asked again this time more specific as to avoid further confusion.

" Oh, yeah man. Apparently so."

Kyle replied.

" Okay, let's get back into the swing of things."

Nathan stated as he got to his feet. His body still heavy but moving enough to fight once again.

" You sure you should be up?"

Kyle asked.

" I feel... Stronger."

Nathan said to the man as he examined his body.

" Well, glad to hear it. But what are you going to do now?"

Kyle asked.

" Head home and see how things play out maybe. I don't plan on fighting Scott's insane war with the avengers. The first time I fought them was because they tried to take Hope by force. And doing that with the phoenix host could have gone sideways fast. Now, they're simply fighting one another to fight. As long as things don't go too far out of control, I'll not lift another finger against them."

Nathan explained as he threw his clothes on.

" Well, I can't afford to just sit on the side lines. I'm gonna see if I can find Hope and maybe see if she can figure this phoenix thing out. I'll see you around Atom."

Kyle said to the man as they walked out of the room, they were in.

Atom waved to Kyle one last time before the man flew away.

Nathan then turned and felt a slight tugging sensation drawing him elsewhere.

" Oh, boy. I'm going to regret following this aren't I?"

Nathan groaned.

He took a deep breath and steeled himself and took off into the air to find the source of this strange sensation.

His flight took him around the world to a place he was none too familiar with. A mystical place sought by many of the world's greatest martial artists, Kun Lun.

" That was quick Gentlemen."

Tony said to the others as they touched down in the Mountains.

" Avengers welcome to my home away from home."

Lei kun said to the group.

" So, let's do the math here... We took one down. And it took damn well near all of us to do it."

Ben exclaimed as he and the others managed to take down Namor after the man attacked them in Wakanda, flooding the African state in the process.

" We finally got a lucky shot and all we did was make the other ones more powerful?"

Spiderman stated in disbelief.

" So, even when we win, we lose."

Ben replied.

" And that ladies and gentlemen, is exactly how it feels to be me... Every day of the week."

Spiderman tried making light of the situation with jokes.

" So, what's the plan?"

Hope asked Steve but he didn't respond.

" Cap?"

Iron fist asked the man as well.

" Is there a plan?"

Hope asked again.

" Well, I don't know about plans. But we do need to talk."

Nathan said to the young girl as he floated down above them.

The avengers turned in shock ready to attack the man as he approached.

" Whoa! Whoa! Settle down i only came to talk."

Nathan explained to the others.

" What's there to talk about? I told Scott, I wanted to leave with them."

Hope said to the man.

" Yeah, you told Scott that. But I'm not Scott. Nor am I here for Scott."

Nathan replied to the girl in a sarcastic and smart mouthed way.

" I'm here to do just as I said. Talk."

Nathan exclaimed.

" Then talk."

Steve said to the man.

" Whoa, Captain you need to lose the attitude and watch the tone. I just got blown up by a cosmic bird and I am not feeling all too hot right now. Now, tell me what do you all plan on doing now that you have Hope?"

Nathan asked the group.

" We're going to train her and hopefully have her take the powers from the others before it's too late. Or if that can't be done, we're going to work on finding a way to kill it the phoenix.

Steve replied.

" Wait? So, you're going to do what Scott and the others were going to do before your friend blew the phoenix up and caused this mess. And your alternative is to simply kill it. I didn't think you were stupid. Let me tell you something captain, there is nothing any of you can do to kill the phoenix. you've seen the scope of its power. You should know how strong it is. Even if you managed to destroy it now, it would only come back later more pissed off."

Nathan explained to the group.

" It's better than what Summers is doing right now. I mean the guy's a total nutjob."

Spiderman stated.

" No, actually he isn't. You all are."

Nathan replied.

" How are we the bad guys here?"

Iron man asked.

" Scott was only trying to give our people another chance at life. To him this was our one last chance to avoid extinction, something I'm told the scarlet witch is responsible for. Now, as for who she is or what she's done I really don't give a damn. But I've been told that since they've transformed Scott and the others have only tried helping people across the globe and you are the ones who keep seeking out fights. Hope, remember what I told you on the moon. Hold tight to those words because you're going to be forced to make a choice in the coming days. I hate to say it kid. But that's the truth. You can either be the savior your species needs. Or you can be the one to kill them for good. I hate wording it like that but if you destroy the phoenix that's what happens. If you guys can find a different way then by all means go for it. But it won't be easy. These things never are."

Nathan explained to the group of avengers.

" Are you going to tell Scott about our hiding spot?"

Steve asked.

" Screw that are you going to stand against us?"

Red Hulk asked.

" Well, I already told you I'm not with Scott. But as for if I'll stand against you, it's too soon to tell. Though if Rachel asked me to fight you, I wouldn't hesitate. But we'll just have to wait and see."

Nathan explained to the red man.

" So, what you're saying is I need to smash you now!"

Red Hulk exclaimed as he lunged at Atom.

" Are we seriously doing this again?"

Nathan asked the man.

Red Hulk swung at Nathan, his fists burning with radiation. Nathan shook his head and sighed before grabbing Red Hulks hand, he then began sucking the man's radiation reserves dry once again. Once Red Hulk was on his knee's Atom punched him in the face and knocked him out.

" Good luck, Hope. You'll need it."

Atom said to the girl one last time before flying off once again.

" What did you get on him?"

Steve turned to the young woman and asked.

" He's confident. And it feels like the phoenix force is within him."

Hope explained to the man shocking him and everyone around him.

" Are you serious?! So, there's still six more of those phoenix guys running around? Oh, great."

Spiderman complained.

" No, I misspoke. It was in him, but it feels like it's something different now. I can't explain it. But I think he's absorbed part of the phoenix's powers and made it his own."

Hope explained once again.

" Can Wanda handle him like the others?"

Pietro asked.

" He didn't seem the one bit scared of her like the others, so I couldn't really tell you. But I do know things are going to be much more complicated if he's an enemy."

Hope stated as she watched the man's glowing aura fade away into the night.
