Chapter 6 - INHERITANCE

The old monk was equally surprised, it usually takes longer for someone to get from level 1 to 75 just in a mere span of less than 5 months.

Looks like you leveled up quite quickly that even I am astonished, it is now time for you to get the inheritance. A glint passed through his eyes as he said that.

Come, sit at the center of the temple and start chanting the calming heart sutra, there is vital Essence rampant at the center.''This is to clear your mind and prepare you for the inheritance you are about to receive.'' He explained.

Gonn went there took a lotus shaped position and started chanting the scripture, his heart and mind became increasingly calm.

''Prepare yourself and do not resist since I don't have my body with me I can't transfer the inheritance manually, my soul has to come in close contact with yours in order for that to be done.'' He said. ''Yes senior'' Gonn said while still being excited.

''Now open your soul space and allow me in'' He stated ''huh?'' Gonn was a bit confused, as this was something new to him. ''Just calm down and do not try to resist me why I enter your body.'' Stated the old monk somehow impatiently.

Gonn sat there and allowed the soul of the old monk to access my soul space.

This space is too big for his level, I haven't seen anyone who hasn't even started cultivating having this level of soul space. His soul space already matches those at mid level apprentice realm.

After thousands of years of waiting I finally have a perfect candidate to use as a body and start cultivating again, with his talents I'll be able to reach my old realms with even greater speed.

The old monk asked , I haven't seen anyone without a cultivation base survive a journey In the void, less likely a space crack.

'' I don't remember '' Gonn said blatantly lying again, this kid obviously has many secrets for him to survive in the void without even entering level 1 , and he's just lying at my face thinking I won't know just wait till I get control of his body all his secrets will be mine '' ha ha ha ha ha ha ha''.

You have to think of your soul space to go there, just think about a space, with an outline of any shape you want inside there is a body of water which is called the soul sea. It cannot grow until you reach the grandmaster stage, at the center of the soul space there is a soul there which is yours, just think about it and you'll get there.

Gonn did as the old monk said, after about a minute he was in his soul space. ''I'm coming in now do not restrict me.''

''ok…'' Gonn said, I'm about to transfer the inheritance start chanting the sutra, as he did he immediately felt a wave of pain in my soul.

''Aargh!''

''Wh… what are y… you doing, W… why is it so painful!?'' You never said anything about the inheritance hurting like this, you have to bear with this, the is the first time someone is receiving the inheritance so I didn't know about the pain.

Gonn closed his eyes and focused on his soul space, he felt something was wrong. He wasn't receiving something rather he felt he was losing something, '' Wait I'm not receiving the inheritance I'm losing my soul, your trying to destroy my soul!'' Gonn stated abruptly.

''So you finally noticed huh?'' The old monk chuckled evilly, you are way too dumb for you to think you can get something like a free meal in the cultivation world, the price of you obtaining this sutra is your body and soul thanks '' ha ha ha ha ha''

''Aargh''

No I can't die like this, I want to stand at the top of the world, I want them to show reverence towards me and at the call of my name all my enemies shall shiver in fear. How can I die here like this? I do not accept.

Gonn looked up to the skies and shouted, you heavens are the one who control our fate, I do not agree.

My fate shall be controlled by no one else but me, it is only because I'm weak if I was strong enough that asteroid wouldn't have killed me on earth, if I was strong enough this evil old monk wouldn't trick me rather he would fear me. From today I make an oath to myself I shall be the strongest.

Thunders reverberated in the sky, the earth shaking, winds flaying the rocks all because of what he just said.

'' ha ha ha ha ha ha, kid what are you saying''the old monk laughed, you can only achieve those dreams if you survive today, who will help you even those old monster still sleeping around would not help you. ''I told you you cannot get a free meal in this world what would you give them to help you?''

''It's time to end this'' the old monk said , no I can't allow this to happen. ''Aargh!'' I've never felt so much pain before but what do I do?

Gonn heard chanting in his ears, DO… MA…. CHI…. TEH… SAT… He heard and started chanting with it

The old monk heard the chanting but all he heard were muddled, he sensed threat from what the boy was saying but couldn't hear it well.

'' I have to end this faster, I can feel the looming aura of death around me. I can't let him continue or else I'll be the one dead, he started drawing energy from Gonn's soul sea. Since I can't finish him now I'll rather drain the energy from his soul, he'll be to tired to think about chanting'' the old monk said

Gonn was starting to get drained, he was getting tired he was chanting that strange sutra that drained him and also the old monk was draining his soul sea. All hope was lost his eyes were shutting down when he heard a sound.

HONG

The whole battlefield went quiet that instant, Gonn looked up and found a cauldron flying in his direction landed next to him and flew into his soul space , the old monk saw this cauldron and started shivering ''w… w… why is this here, wasn't it destroyed in the war, why is the ALL HEA…'' his words were cut short as the cauldron sucked his soul into it and refined it.

The soul essence was put in his soul sea which nourished it he immediately had a breakthrough to late apprentice realm in his soul.

The memories of the old monk were sealed in Gonn's mind only when he is strong enough or enter the apprentice realm will he be able to unlock those memories.

The only memory he unlocked were those of the inheritance and some rumors, theories that the old monk researched.

The was only one technique in the inheritance, the only one was not actually a cultivation technique rather an auxiliary technique made to support an actual cultivation technique.

The other thing he learned was the way he cultivated, it was called the way of the primordials

It encompasses all into one I didn't understand it but maybe I will later.
