CHAPTER 45: STRANGE DREAM
Lucy, hearing that, was dumbfounded. Never in a million years did she expect that in 2079, with several decades where women were rising to the top, clamoring about equality and could be seen venturing into the male-dominated industry. She didn’t think that she would come across a person like Arya who wanted to just shelf herself down and be a housewife. What was so fun with that?
“You … are you teasing me? What about your studies? Finding a job or pursuing your modeling career? You are doing pretty well. Even a person like me is supporting you. Why would you want to become a housewife? You can still take care of your family and pursue your career at the same time!”
Lucy just didn’t get it at all.
Her family was rich, but that didn’t make her become a stay-at-home daughter and splurge her parents’ money. At the age of twenty-two, she was in her final year doing a course in Business Management and at the same time interning at her little uncle’s investment firm.
