"My father told me that I will be marrying you." Lady Lenora Macheze finally broke the silence that awkwardly occupied the Crown Prince's chamber for minutes. Her apathetic gaze was on the Crown Prince when she asked, "Is that true, Your Highness?"
"If that's the case, I want to ask you the same question, Lady Lenora," Alerone Caderin promptly said, sounding as uninterested as the lady sitting opposite him. "Are you planning to marry me?"
Lady Lenora Macheze observed the Crown Prince for a few seconds and looked away. "I don't really have a say in that. However... " Her nonchalant gaze was back to the Crown Prince when she continued, "If it is up to me, I won't marry someone whom I have to answer. Why would I marry such a kind of person and suffer for the rest of my life?"
She was indirectly talking about him and Alerone was well aware of it. However, it didn't affect him at all. It's not like he had hope in her, to begin with.
