When Mayra come out of bathroom, she sees a sky blue coloured dress had been put on the bed. It's a very beautiful dress because it has a bright colour which indicates her excitement regarding her new married life, and their are pearls at the bottom of dress, their is a ribbon for tighting around her waist. Overall, the dress is simple and elegant.

Since, Mayra had always wore the second hand clothes of Kaithi, so a new dress for her is quite a surprise for her.

She gets ready when party is nearing. She doesn't know how many guests will be there because it was always a habit of her to celebrate everything all alone.

She looked at herself in the mirror. A reflection of a cute and decent woman stared back at her. She smiled at herself causing dimples on her both cheeks.

When it's time to go down, her mother-in-law barged in the room without knocking. She sized Mayra up and down. Mayra looked at her with anticipation for any praise, but nothing came like that. Her mother-in-law pursued her lips tightly.

"Are you trying to insult us, Mayra?"

"No mother, I am not"

"Then, are you doing it on purpose?"

"I am not getting what are you saying, mother."

"No, you are understanding everything, Mayra. You are just trying to show that we are poor than your family."

"But mother I am not doing anything like this." Mayra does not understand where this topic is coming from. And she have no idea what is going on.

"Then, where is the jewelry that I sent for you to wear at the party, huh?"

"Mother, but I didn't get any jewelry. The maid had given me dress only."
