Chapter 78 Engagement Party 7

I got into the bathroom, took my bath and walked out in a white towel to the closet. As usual I sent the maids who were supposed to dress me away. I dressed myself up in a blunt orange blouson dress slightly above my knees.

I wore a close toe pumps stilletos high heels with little diamond stones on it. I let my hair down to my waist, applied a lipgloss and my body sprays, not forgetting my jeweries. i walked out of the closet elegantly. This morning Alex didn't excort me to the dinning room, I walked down the grand stairs alone to the dinning room.

As usual everyone was sitted at the table except grandma and Alex. "Good morning!" I greeted everyone. "Morning my dear!" Mother smiled at me warmly. "Morning Hazel, how was your night?" Father asked.

He's usually a man of fewer words, but with everything Alex told me about him the previous night I didn't see him in that light anymore. I couldn't believe this man was a dangerous man, indeed looks were decieving.

"It was fine!" I replied with a smile. "Good morning baby!" Carie said winking at me. I smiled at her, "Good morning!".

We started eating without waiting for the rest to come, half way into the food, "Where's Alex, Hazel!" Mother asked. How was I supposed to know where that man had gone to right now? "I really have no idea, he left this room without a word!" I said.

"You should keep a close eye on your husband if you want him around, you don't know when he'd go to Brazil or Italy in the next minute!" Father said this time and we all chuckled.

"I have an important announcement to make that's why I need everyone here!" Mother said darting her gaze around the table as if searching for someone. "Where's Mother Avery?" She asked.

"She decided to have breakfast in bed today. She said she can no longer sit on the same table as Hazel until she apologizes!" Avery said nonchalantly, and I gulped.

Mother glanced at me and concentrated on her food, "it's better you step up and apologize Hazel, instead of reporting to my brother!" Avery said sternly. I really couldn't understand what she meant by reporting, I didn't remember reporting anyone.

Alex walked in after her words, he sat close to me and started eating without a word to anyone, not even a good morning to his parents. I would really scold him after breakfast' I thought.

The table became utterly quite by his presence, no one said anything anymore. "Well, we can't wait for Mother to get here, I'd have to say what I wanted to say!" Mother said.

"Where's grandma?" Alex asked this time and everyone was silent again. "She can't be anywhere close to this thing you call a wife!" I heard Avery say.

"Avery I'm not gonna warn you anymore!" Alex said with a smile. "Why, you want me to respect her when you disrespected grandma before a stranger last night?" Avery retorted back. "Hazel, is not a stranger!" Alex said.

"And when did she become a part of this family? you all make her fell like she's special when she's no different from a road side slut!" Avery said sternly.

*Smash*

Glasses were scattered on the floor, I closed my eyes tight at the sound of it. "One f**king word from you and I'll cut off your mouth!" Alex growled. "Alex that's enough!" Father said banging the table. Alex glared at father, "I didn't raise you to kill your family members!" Father added.

"Hazel, our engagement party is in a week, that's the news mother wanted to say!" Alex walked out unhurriedly.

"Are you happy now? We've not had peace since you got here, go back to were you came from Hazel, you don't belong here and you never will!" Avery left the table.

"You should learn to control your husband or i'ld be forced to think you're in support of his attitude!" Father said and left the table. "Honey!" Mother called but he left angrily.

"Excuse me!" I excused myself out of the dinning room. At this point, I finally decided that coming to this place and having dinner with Alex's family is totally a bad thing.

I went back to the room to relax my brain, taking a decision to leave this mansion the moment Alex got back. But before we leave I decided to go apologise to grandma, at least restore the peace Avery accused me of stealing back to the house.

I took in deep breaths and exhaled before knocking the door to her room. "Who's it?" I heard her voice. "It's me Hazel grandma!" I said faintly. She waited for some time before saying "come in!"

At the sound of her voice I stepped into her room. Avery was there with her, I guess to report the recent event of this morning. "When are you leaving Alex and this family for good bitch!" I haven't even walked in fully when I heard her speak.

"I don't....!" "You should know your place Hazel, you're a contracted wife and no one special!" Avery added. Once again I fell into their trap.

"How much do you need slot to leave completely?" Grandma asked. "It's not that easy!" I said.

"Why? You're now inlove with my son? How many times do I have to make it known to you , that you don't belong here? Alex is going to get married to just one woman and that's Berverly and we'd make that happen!" Mother said.

"I can help you escape to a place he would not be able to find you!" Avery suggested. "I can't leave without my mum!" I said. "Your dead mum? That slot?" Grandma's words made me tear.

I'm really sensitive when it comes to mum. But I pushed it back in, I can't cry before this witches, "She's not dead!" I said calmly.

"But she will die!" Avery said sardonically with a broad smile on her lips. "Watch your tongue Avery, I've never wished your mum death!" I said to her. "Well that's because she's strong and healthy!" Avery said.

"I can't believe you call me names and insult me each time you see me. You're just so insecure around me cause you're scared Alex might not get married to the one you feel like is right for him!" I started.

"You call me a slot, when I've never slept with anyone you know, you forget so soon that your family proposed this marriage to my father. You're so quick to judge others forgetting about yourselves!" I added.

Sometimes when I think of your acts, it just makes me question myself if you're really sensible. But I know the answer to that question without even stressing my brain!"

"The little drama you two witnessed is just the beginning, and this would be the last time you'd ever see me do this, I'm so sorry grandma for what Alex My Husband did to you, I hope you can forgive him!" I streched the husband part to taunt them a little before leaving the room.
