Chapter 148 Days to the wedding 29

      Been having some issues updating two chapters, and yesterday was nothing less than frustrating cause I couldn't access the app. But all issues are resolved now. Thank you for being patient ❤️💡

Maya prayed waiting patiently for the wedding to come up faster. She never thought in her life time she would pray such prayer for a girl she despised the most. As much as she hated to, she still prayed for Hazel, planning on arriving at the Voilla resident the next morning after the wedding to break the news to Lukas's family.

She was certain that once she told them about her pregnancy, according to her sister's words, they would accept her since they're desperately in need of a grandchild for the family. She wondered why Beverly was unmoved about the wedding coming up. She should plan to kidnap the girl by now and send her to where she belongs.

She only hoped Berverly's plans were not useless like the previous ones since she's not involving anyone in her plans. Berverly has been known to always fail in her mission cause she let her emotions get the best of her. Even if the sisters always fall out, and never get along, they were sisters and would always have each other's back.

Maya got into her private jet and left the country only to be back in a few days after the wedding.

    We at the hospital the hospital only to be out utterly shocked after the scan results were out. I and Carie haven't spoken a word since we got the result. Earlier today, I was ready to mock Carie if the gender of the baby would be female. Only God knows how much I prayed to win this bet, only to be shocked as both of us lost the bet.

I was happy and shocked at once, instead of having just a niece or a nephew, I was blessed with both. Carie was expecting twin and I could see how anxious she looked. Pushing a baby out is crucial and to think of pushing two babies at once......

"Let's go have lunch!" I suggested, "Hmm you don't know how starved I am!" She beamed with joy. Her response left me astonished, it was just an hour ago mother scolded Carie for eating much during breakfast. She had to to stop to avoid suspicions.

Carie held my wrist and took me into the restaurant after much walking, it was 'Bice Mere'. We got to our table and a waiter walked up to us immediately, "I need the executive menu!" Carie said shamelessly and I gulped.

Even if the waiter had no expression on his face, he still had a mind of his own. He would still think about it. "Alright!" He bowed and left. I face palmed, glaring at Carie, "what? It's not my fault, I have two growing humans in me!" 

"Yes I understand eat all you want I don't have a problem with it!" I smiled for her to nod at me. I almost forgot my baby was carrying two seeds in her, if she doesn't eat healthy, they'll suck her dry. I hope not to carry more than a child when I get pregnant.

Just then the waiter got back to us with the menu, Carie was elated when she saw it and she grabbed the menu going through the food. Since I've never worn a hijab before, I felt really hot in it. But sooner my body got used to the temperature and I was fine.

"I want the four course meal, and... For my first course, I want the carpaccio di wagyu and for the second course........!" Carie continued to order while I looked for a decent meal in the menu.

"Can I have yours madam?" "Yes I want the 'linguine profumi di un ricordo'!". I said to have him bow and leave. "Look at the water!" I turned my gaze to the direction of the data park water fall. "It's a great view, maybe we could get a closer look when we are done eating!" 

She nodded to my words with a smile. I smiled at the thought of us running away from the bodyguards that took us out, so they wouldn't tell mother were we went to. The last people who excorted us the previous day told on us even after tipping them to shut their mouth.

         "Hazel, I expect you to act as an elder sister to Carie and not join her in her evil deeds!" Mother got into my room at 1:pm to speak. I was more than astonished to see her in my room. I guess Avery finally told her how I and Carie left her at the designer shop to wherever we went to.

"Carie already confessed everything to me, it's your turn now... Talk!" Something seems fishy right now. If Carie confessed to mother then she shouldn't be in my room right? She should be scolding or consoling Carie. I raised a brow at her.

"Mother, I m so sorry for everything, since Carie already told you about everything then there's no need of me speaking!" I tried laying back on the bed but mother stopped me. "Hazel Love, Carie told me you guys went to a hospital, what did you actually go there for?" She narrowed her eyes at me and I gulped.

How am I supposed to know what lie Carie must have fabricated to save her neck. We wouldn't want mother going to the hospital to ask questions. Her prayers are that I get pregnant so she could see her grandchild but now Carie's the one pregnant.

"I...I...w...we went there for my monthly checkup!" Her facial expression didn't change and she raised a brow, which only means she's not satisfied with my response. "Alex asked me to keep doing monthly checkup cause of my family's inherited disease!" I lied further and mother nodded.

"Carie said you dragged her into the hospital and she was asked to stay at the reception when you went in with the doctor!" 

Damn Carie's a healthy liar, shifting all the blame to me is not funny. Mother left the room later on and I went back to sleep.

"Enjoy!" Came the deep voice of the waiter that brought me back to reality. Without a care in the world, Carie dug into her food, like a starved chicken and started eating.
