Second Meeting

This morning, I woke up feeling very upset because today I have to give an answer to Axel regarding his offer to me. I have no other choice. I need it to avoid the arranged marriages that my mother keeps doing. That morning, I received a short message from Axel. He said that we would meet this afternoon at the place we first met to discuss my decision. I never thought that I would get married so soon. Even though I am considered quite mature it never crossed my mind to marry young.

I dressed as usual, there was nothing special in my opinion so I didn't dress up too neatly. I thought we would talk about contract issues, not to get interested in each other. Don't forget I also brought a document because Axel told me to bring it, look! Even for the document, I had to bring it myself. It was clear that the man was too calculating and arrogant. I went away feeling lazy.

When I came out of my room, my mother asked if I wasn't going to work because it looked like I was going to play or travel.

" Where are you going? Aren't you working? Why do your clothes look casual, kid?" asked my mother. I answered that I was going to meet my boyfriend. Suddenly, my mother looked stunned. She then told me to go back to the room and change into better and neater clothes. I started to frown, and then an argument broke out between me and my mother. 

She didn't want me to go out in what he called "Homeless" clothes, even though the clothes I was wearing at that time were clothes that I wore quite often when I went out of the house. I didn't want to argue and finally decided to obey and give in this time to my mother.

"That Man will misunderstand!" I grumbled in annoyance. After seeing me change clothes, I saw a big smile on my mother's face. I said goodbye to her and left feeling annoyed. I think this will cause a misunderstanding with Axel. I hope that cold man does not misunderstand with my make-up this time.

Axel, who arrived first, started looking for a place and ordered a cup of espresso to enjoy. Axel was quite worried because maybe Summer wouldn't come, He thought that by not replying to his message, Summer might have rejected him gently. He was very nervous because he felt no one would want to accept his offer after just one meeting.

Axel has the same problem as Summer. At this time, he is being forced by his parents to get married immediately and have children to continue the family. Axel, who has only been busy working, has never thought about spending time on dating. Finally, his parents' pressure made him feel even more cornered, and in the end, a threat came from his father which made him unable to refuse it at all. His father said that if he didn't get married shortly, Axel would have to settle in a remote village where his father would withdraw all the facilities he currently had and would never let him leave the remote town.

Accustomed to living in luxury, Axel was panicked when he heard what his father said. Axel can't imagine what his life would be like, without a smartphone, air conditioning, delicious food, a comfortable bed, and other luxuries that he has had so far. Indeed, he already works alone, but his father still has access to the assets he owns. That's what made Axel finally choose a path like this.

Axel found out about the dating application from his secretary, Toni. Toni is Axel's confidant. Toni was the only person who didn't side with his father. Most of the people in his office were his father's spies. Toni has worked with Axel long enough that they seem like good friends. Toni is quite experienced in dating, so He suggested to Axel that he look for someone through the dating application that he often uses. And in the end, Axel met Summer.

The first time he met Summer, it was enough to make his heart flutter. Even though Axel had often met many women, for some reason, Axel was immediately attracted to Summer at the first meeting. Axel didn't want to be called cheap. So he had to maintain his attitude by acting cool in front of Summer. Axel was so nervous that occasionally. he was caught looking at Summer by Summer herself. Summer never responded to his messages and made Axel seem worried that he would be rejected.

At the second meeting, Axel deliberately arrived early to check whether Summer would come or not. He hoped that Summer would come to this meeting. Even if he gets rejected later, it does not matter to him. Because at least he can look back at a woman who managed to make his heart flutter. Axel started waiting anxiously. He could not stop looking at the cafe entrance to confirm Summer had arrived.

Because the trip took quite a long time, Summer thought maybe she would be, late and Axel would not wait for her. She felt worried because if she did not meet Axel, Summer would not have the chance to bring someone to introduce to her mother tomorrow.

Summer does not ride alone. She chose to take a taxi to the meeting location. In her heart, she still hoped that Axel would still be at their meeting location. Because if not, maybe she will receive an arranged marriage from her mother that she does not want at all. Arriving at the place, Summer immediately rushed to look around. Axel looked happy to see Summer had arrived. He stood up and raised his hand hesitantly as if calling Summer to come to him.

Summer was relieved that Axel was still there, but she was a little nervous because they were going to talk about marriage.

" Have you been waiting long?" I asked Axel breathlessly.

" Yes! Next time, you would better be on time." Hearing Axel say that, reminded me he is a Very Cold man who will never care about other People's feelings. " Okay. Fine," I continued.

The situation was quite awkward between The Two of us, so we looked awkward towards each other. Then I saw Axel take out a very thick file. I thought maybe it was a research paper that I always get in my coursework. It made me even more tense.
