Marriage Contract with a Werefox Prince

"First of all, Mr Saverio I never signed a marriage deal with you. Second, you are my boss and third, you make me cringe!" His brows raised, "Cringe, how?" "Ever since the day I met you, I knew you are the one. How does that sound? Moreover, I do not believe getting married would decrease our possibility of dying." "So you agree with me that those lines are cringe, right? I wonder what those writers were thinking when they wrote them. But I had no choice." Eva couldn't believe her ears. So her boss had to surf through the net to propose to her? Wow, she must be Alice and he must be Johnny Bravo. He clicked his tongue calling her attention before walking towards her. Eva walked backwards and he proceeded until her back hit the wall. He leaned closer, "It's a myth, it's okay if you find it hard to believe, however, aren't you quite tired of the pain you derive when I'm far away?" She swallowed. It is true, whenever he is near her, the pain disappears, however her body begins to heat up whenever he isn't nearby. They were both cursed and the only way to get through is to remain close. This sounded like a typical drama. "Fine. I will sign the deal but on one condition." A smirk came across his lips as he replied, "How many times do I have to say you already signed it?" He paused, his dark blue eyes staring into her ocean blue ones, "Meaning, there are no conditions. The only condition you need to abide is mine." ××× Eva Lee, a young woman lived a free life, however after an incident that took her father's life, she turns into a woman seeking revenge. Escape

Eva's eyes widened and a slight gasp erupted from her mouth, not understanding even a bit of what he had just uttered now plus, she didn't understand why she could feel the cold object on her forehead.

She could have used her taekwondo ability, however, this man here was her boss and also the man who saved her the other day. It would be rash of her to fight against him else he truly meant to wield the weapon against her.

When his dark blue eyes met hers, she swallowed, dropping her gaze below his eyes. Her hands were already up as she pleaded, "Please, Mr Saverio, spare me."

He looked at her for a split second before questioning, "Do you have something to say?"

"No, sir."

"To be exact, a question to ask?" He paused and then teased her, "About the reason for owning a pistol?"

Eva on the other hand had started to look at every corner of the room and calculate at the same time if it would be worth it to run outside his office and lock herself somewhere else but in the end, it surely wouldn't be worth it.

She heard him say again while she was previously stuck in her reverie, "Are you going to resign now that you know that your boss has a pistol in possession..." However, he paused and rectified scaring her the more, "I mean...pistols. You have no idea how many could be in this entire building. Or perhaps, you were even unaware that there is a room where different kinds are placed there?"

In Eva's mind, the scene of the outgoing secretary, Mr Chan when he was asking her what she would do if she found out that the organisation is involved in illegal acts.

Could it be that he meant that question?

However as her hands began to ache along with the terrifying words coming out from her boss to frighten her, Eva discovered that she indeed needed to do something. Her brain needed to act first else it would risk bursting out of its skull.

Eva walked backwards slowly, trying to get into the restroom that she had come out from but he was very quick to notice, he quickly held her hands and turned her around while banging the door closed. "You are quite, dumb, I credit."

Eva didn't grit as a result. She had predicted his reaction and was planning to escape but then, after thinking, she figured out that an easy escape wouldn't be the best way, she would risk getting shot. She needed to find out a way to escape from him and escape this building without being caught by him.

She slowly studied his movement, they were swift, and he had a built body. With everything that she had witnessed, he would be a fast runner when angered. She looked at the revolver which was previously resting on her forehead until they switched position.

Right now, she was walking backwards again while he was approaching her as if he already knew that she was planning to escape. But as she continuously walked backwards and away from where she stood, he lost his patience and she could hear the sounds from the revolver as he threatened, "You have no idea how many people have met their demise with the aid of the same object with me."

Eva tried to divert him from focusing entirely on her, she needed to stay next to the wall before she could do anything. She gave out a small smile even though she was frightened at the same time, "By the look of how you hold it, I guess I would be the first?"

Saverio was not expecting her reply. In fact, he was not expecting any reply and she... she had the gut to... how could she be so brazen despite being in front of a weapon?

Eva saw the flicker in his expression and she knew that she had succeeded in annoying him and now, was fortunately nearer to the wall. By his action, Eva could tell that this man did not plan to shoot her no matter what.

In fact, why would he? He had initially saved her from the hands of the kidnappers but then again, she was reminded that for him to hold a gun, then, he wasn't what he seemed to be. She might not expect the attack if it did come, she wanted to prevent it at all costs.

She just got employed today, but it didn't matter what she was going to do because if she didn't act fast, he might get annoyed all of a sudden.

Just when the man had walked closer to her while her back was stuck on the wall, one of her raised hands immediately collided with the wall and then, a small click sound was heard followed by the switching off of lights.

The room was not entirely dark for the source of light was from the sun which brightened the office through the wall glass and a window.

Eva wasn't daft, she knew switching off the lights would not affect anything, she only wanted him to be stunned for a moment and fortunately, he was stunned and she took the opportunity, to kick the middle of his legs, earning a groan from him but the weapon with him was still stiff in his hand, unfortunately.

With that, she immediately punched him in his stomach, and with her trained skills on how to collect a weapon from a killer, she successfully collected the gun from him and then she pointed it at him, "If you move any further, boss, you might be dead?" She shrugged.

Saverio wasn't expecting her swift attack and surprisingly, he let himself get attacked by her.

Knowing that she was in charge now because she was the one with the weapon, she immediately ran away from where she was, still holding the gun out to him to prevent him from walking closer and successfully, she opened the door of his office and ran out hastily, through the corridor.

She opened her office, brought out the RFID card that she had been given before and then took along her bag to run away, however, when she walked out of the office, she saw him, standing right in front of her with a smirk.

She immediately walked backwards into her office, despite being the one with the weapon, for some reason, she was scared because she thought she had annoyed him.

Right now, he looked like a grim reaper whose charm was his beauty.

Before she could do anything again, he had already walked in front of her holding her hand that was holding unto the weapon and surprising her, he pointed the weapon at his head while holding onto her wrist, "With the courage you possess, I believe it's enough to pull the trigger. Only that way would you be able to survive."
