CH237. He is mad at you

"Why did you two fight then?" Lu Min Chen asks her quietly. He knows that this question might be a bit sensitive, but he wants to hear how she will put her answer.

For now, her answer is so important to him. It will help him make the decisions he wants in life, decisions about him and her.

And true to his thoughts, the question is so sensitive to Ye Xiao Xiao. 

She tenses up a little, remembering how Lin Mo tried forcing himself on her.

"It was not just fighting..."She says. He wanted to steal her innocence. He wanted to abuse her!

Lu Min Chen looks at her. Was it something more then a fight? Yeah, it was. She was fighting back for her innocence. And he was trying to do that to her.

He swallows his anger. He loves her. He has thought about her since that year back then when she was taken back to her dad.

But he has never taken the final step on her. He finds himself leaving in between, because he does not want to ruin her. Because he does not want to make her sad.

Yet Lin Mo did not care about that. It angers Lu Min Chen, and he thinks he should still teach him a good lesson.

"He wants me to marry him as his payment," she says calmly, but her heart is in pain.

Could Lin Mo not use that as the excuse? It makes her feel like he was trying to buy her. All the things he did for her in the past were because he was purchasing her!

He should have been a real and kind gentleman. He should have asked her out in a logical way.

Then she would have thought about it. Even if she would not have given in to him, their relationship now would be better than it is.

Lu Min Chen freezes. He heard the same for his assistant. But he is shocked that she willingly told it to him too. 

He thought that she would try hiding the reason for their fight, and cover up for him.

"What are you planning to do now? He is mad at you," Lu Min Chen says and looks at her carefully.

"What can I do? I am supposed to pay him off in one week. Three million..."

She stops and sighs, looking at Lu Min Chen in fear. She knows she has no one else to depend on for this. 

But she is afraid of saying it because she told him in the begining that she has nothing to say to him.

"President Lu..." She calls quietly, her voice sounding like that of a mosquito humming close to Lu Min Chen's ear.

"Mmh?" 

"I agreed to work for you," she says again, still looking at him with her big eyes moving fearfully.

"Yeah, you did," Lu Min Chen answers calmly, looking back at her and trying to understand her intentions.

She refused to asks for help at the begining. Is she going to ask for it now?
