Chapter 25

The following day was spent finalizing every detail of Stephanie’s security to and from court. Slash and his boys had come through and I was farther encouraged by the way they stood back and watched what we did, and asked the pertinent questions that convinced me they wanted in this for the right reasons. Believe it or not, there were some assholes out there who thought they could use what we did for personal gain.

We didn’t take anything from any of the families we helped, whether they were dirt poor or multi-billionaires, it didn’t matter. We were in it for the victims. I had no respect for anyone who thought that it was cool to farther victimize already suffering families and shit.

Stephanie as was to be expected, was a lot agitated and downright scared. She needed someone inside with her at all times that Sunday night, and we all ended up staying inside until she fell asleep. We were on a fucked up schedule tonight because everyone wanted to be there the next morning.
