"Andrew, what are you thinking about?" I felt a cold breath kiss my neck as Alea hugged me from behind, her tender breasts rubbed against the shirt I wore, pulling it up a few inches. If it were a few days ago, I would've felt a little shiver from it, but nowadays, I feel my blood entering an unwanted muscle.

"Let's go to the plaza." I changed the topic and pulled her along by the hand. I needed no guiding as we ascended the bleak stone staircase and made our way down the long corridor with its vista of whitewashed wall and dun-colored doors. Near the further end a low arched passage branched away from it.

Exiting the research chamber, we got on the carriage and headed to our destination.

"Do you have anything to inquire about?"

I asked while intertwining her hands with mine.

"No….I mean yes!"

A chortled a little making her pout before she spoke. "I feel like you're going to disappear." Her words didn't shock me as I expected it to. To some extent, I could tell she was anxious. My tendency to disregard most of the monotone world around me was not something I ever attempted to hide.

But there was an oversight on her part, there are people who add a bit of color to this. A bright golden color full of uncertainty.

The script I was provided with, detailed a lot of things but never explored more on the lances. Alea was someone doomed to die, but of course I plan to stop that. This would mean the entire canvas carefully drawn by fate will be dumped in black paint.

Death is no small matter. We all know our time is limited. Even the gods never claim to be invincible. Everything has an end, whether it be due to the involvement of someone else or entropy at play.

I caressed her cheek and spoke with as much reassurance I could muster.

"Ghashnakh graukh." The trees nearby shook at the words uttered from me. A tense silence ensued as I stood there with my eyes closed.

Tennomi- a magic spell I developed to detect the activation of static void. It was a simple trick of using the effects of static void to detect it.

The underlying principle is that mana on the outside is frozen while mana on the inside remains free but unused due to the magic caster being frozen himself.

Two singular signatures of mana would cycle inside and outside my body continuously, but the moment static void is activated, the one signature of mana will not be able to enter my body from outside. This will activate the gatekeeping pure mana to transform into the missing signature and double to signify the usage of aether arts.

In layman's terms, it was a magic art that works similar to a fire alarm system, except there is no sprinkler activated.

….What? You thought I could just pull some bull out of my ass and make it work against the culminated work of dijins?

It was the best...for now. I need to experience static void myself to understand the workings of an imitated singularity.

Should I just name my entire spell system 'Tennomi'? It is pretty nameless right now. And Bundling is pretty lackluster….
