"Did you find anything?"

Ren turned over and asked Albedo who was with him in this inspection of the mines. After snatching the mines from the largest gang in this lower district – Boros gang, now he with his companion was in rounds to check if everything is alright.

Out of nowhere, a magicite mine came in and how could there would be no monsters?

Probably Boros wouldn't investigate and just keep mine using people as his slaves to take out the profits out of the land full of unearth treasures, no matter how danger it is.

But for Ren, all his people were more worth than just a land. He can get many land as he wishes, but once his member dies, he can only be helpless and see them off.

"Master, I didn't find anything."

Albedo came down from air, and then stood next to him. She was flying in air and was looking all over this land full of big rocks and barren land. There was almost no vegetation despite this big stretch of land.

"It's weird, isn't it?"

"Yes. To think there is nothing in this place…"

"That's what I think. In this place with a high magicite ore deposits, to think there is not even a sign of life is super weird."

Magicite. A stone with crystallized mana. This stone is very valuable. Mana is a daily source of life, for humans and for nature as well.

And normally in near sites of magicite, many monsters should live as it acts like a natural habitat for them. With rich energy in air, it gives them additional strength and it also creates mutation in different monsters to make them more powerful.

To put simply, the places with high magicite deposits are a natural buff zones. But both of them didn't find even a single sign of life which is beyond weird.

"Ren-sama! I found a huge trace of magic!"

"What?! Lead me!"

Albedo who was in constant alert search detected a huge magic remains and quickly informed Ren. Ren with her using his Ether Gear flew away and then both of them came near a place which was probably the further most point of this barren land.

For some reason, this point was covered with more rocks as if someone has tried to camouflage this particular point.

"Is it from here?"

"Yes."

Both of them came down and then stood in front of these rocks. Ren at first tried to find some place to slip in like gate or some type of entrance but unfortunately, he didn't find it. He also searched to see if there is some kind of secret mechanism to move the rocks but unfortunately no.

"It seems I have to break it."

And with a green light lines all across his right hand, he punched once in the huge rock in front of him.

Boom!

A huge force came out of it and slammed into the rock creating an impact on it. But it was still a bit shot.

But Ren didn't punch anymore. Because the rest four punch force came one after another, just like a nail forcing all the impact in a point and finally destroying the huge rock in his path.

With dust and wind, the huge rock on the point finally was in shambles, lying on the ground. Ren quickly swayed his hand with force to clear the dust obstructing his vision.

"I know what it is, Albedo. But it is better to return, since we don't time to discuss about this."

"Albedo. We don't have enough manpower at the moment. We will return later on."

Albedo bowed and got on her work to camouflage. And Ren stood there and looked at her, waiting her to finish her work.

Near the Fertile land of this Lower District…

There was a big old castle, with black stones giving it a majestic look. Just like a noble place, the big castle was indeed majestic.

But to surprise, this place was not filled with nobles or soldiers. It was full of bandits and criminals with no manner or discipline.

This old castle which at a time was a residence of some noble was now at the moment was filled with different bandits and criminals. The air was pungent yet there was some kind of joy was in it. Many girls with tights, and skin revealing clothes were walking all around.
