Chapter 53

BOOOOOOOOM!!!

Multiple explosions rocked through Durnhold Keep, each guard was either killed or grievously injured. Fires broke out all throughout the keep. Chaos was everywhere.

Staff members were scrambling out of the keep covered in blood, not their own but the guards who had the time bombs in their pockets blood. Running across stone floors covered in blood and gore can be slippery, and shocking to unprepared or unaccustomed people.

All the guards who patrolled the prison ran to the keep, completely oblivious to the human and small group of orcs making their way out of the prison area.

Even if they saw them they would see Prince Arthas Menethil so they wouldn't question anything or even stop him and his group, even if they were all orcs. He was the prince.

Cyrus quickly made his way to the spot overlooking the pits and gave a clear view of what was happening at the keep.

"Nice, with a few seconds to spare. How about a festival of lights to celebrate freedom." Cyrus pointed at Blackmoore who was shouting orders at the men.

Then small explosions happened on every guard with a little larger one on Blackmoore, then multiple different colored fireworks shot off like a grand finale. Then to Thrall's shock and horror the whole world began to crumble and shake, then next thing he knew he was in the snow surrounded by humans not orcs.

Instantly Thrall gets ready for battle which already stunned all the humans around him. They didn't know if he was supposed to be a friend or a foe.

"Woah, woah buddy easy there. That wasn't real. You were trapped in a time-rift and I went in to get you." Cyrus said while putting both hands up to show peace and not aggression.

"Again Prince Arthas why would you help me? Your father King Menethil allows our enslavement as long as it brings in gold." Thrall asked, not trusting the words of a human especially the Prince of the kingdom that enslaved his kind.

Seeing the confused faces around him Cyrus just realized that Thrall kept calling him Arthas,

"Ok, Ok. First it's King Cyrus Stark, not Prince Arthas Menethil. This isn't Azeroth. And if you don't believe I have good-will look over there." Cyrus quickly wanted to correct Thrall and also pointed over to Grom who was laying there unconscious.

"I know who you are, call yourself what you want I wi-.." Thrall stopped mid-sentence after he actually saw what he was pointing at. Rushing over to check on his sworn older brother and teacher. All his memories came rushing back as the time-rift vanished.

Then Thrall's memories of Arthas came and saw him become the Lich King and wage war on both the Horde and Alliance. Thrall readied his weapon.

"Thrall! I said I mean no harm.." Cyrus wasn't liking where this was going.

"I know who you are Lich King Arthas Menethil. I won't let you destroy another world!" Thrall attacked with a large chain lightning.

Hearing and seeing what was happening stunned everyone except Julia Celeste. She too felt as Thrall, any who had seen or bore witness to the Lich King Arthas Menethil would feel dread.

Even today sometimes she would get chills when Cyrus first entered a room.

Cyrus didn't attack back but rather used his Paladin bubble and his light spells.

"Thrall, I'm not Arthas and I'm not the Lich King. I am using light spells. Stop this, help us defea-"

"Yet Arthas, not the Lich King yet. I can't allow you to do what you did last time. I'd rather kill you now, and then fight Ner'zhul myself." Thrall cut off Cyrus while he was trying to explain.

Ned and many others even though they were highly confused by the conversation went to move in but Julia stopped them.

"He's your King and you're refusing to help!!" Myrcella yelled at Julia in anger.

"Thrall has a point. Let Cyrus convince him himself, otherwise you won't stop Thrall. You don't know him like we do." Julia explained vaguely.

"What do you mean Thrall has a point? Explain now because otherwise I'm moving to attack." Ned demanded sternly. Many of the others perked up their ears to hear.

"I'm sorry. It's not my place to tell. If you want an explanation you will have to talk to your son." Julia declined to comment any further, disappointing many who were listening.

Ned didn't like what he was hearing, he felt his son had been hiding some important parts of information from them. Apparently, one large enough piece of information for multiple people who were supposed to be against the same enemy wanted his son dead, he intended to find out why. Everyone watched as Thrall set his totems getting ready to go all out.

"Alexstrasza!! Are you really not going to help me out here? I seriously don't want this right now." Cyrus called out quickly since his protection bubble was about to be over.

As soon as Cyrus called out Thrall froze and went wide eyed.

Alexstrasza walked out of the crowd of humans toward Thrall.

Thrall quickly stopped his attacks and recalled his totems and quickly kneeled respectfully.

"Dragonqueen, is what he says true?" Thrall asked respectfully but hesitantly.

"Yes and no young shaman. The future is not yet written, different choices can lead to different outcomes. That was why my first answer was yes, he does fight on the same side." Alexstrasza answered softly.

"He fought alongside us before too but we saw what happened." Thrall still not wanting to take the risk.

"As I said, this isn't our original universe. Azeroth still exists, however to save the universe the titans emptied the world-soul of Azeroth placing many of the population into stasis while the stronger ones were trapped as you were in a time rift loop." Alexstrasza calmly and patiently explained to Thrall.

As this was going on Ned and quite a few others came over to Cyrus who had let let a sigh now that Thrall had stopped attacking. He's defeated him before, granted he had lots and lots of backup but he was multi class now but it would still be a seriously intense and tiring fight.

"So Cyrus Stark, you had better be ready. I'm about to tell your mother about the conversation we just overheard." Ned said to him with a serious face.

Cyrus face instantly paled and he broke out in sweat.

"He's suffering from time rift syndrome, it scrambled his brain that's all." Cyrus tried to wave it off. Trying to explain it in an understandable manner, yet not sounding completely insane would be too difficult.

"Oh, hey dad why don't you just tell mom that Miss Julia knows the explanation. Mom would have it out of her in less then a hour." Sansa said with a smirk, she wasn't going to let her brother get off scott-free.

"Aye, that sounds like a good idea." Ned answered back with a smile.

"What the hell Thrall! I swear, never mind I'll fucken kick your green arse right now. Teach you some manners." Cyrus now irritated and began to look for a fight.

Thrall jumped up ready to fight. Cyrus leaped in with his two handed sword [Glorenzelg] and his two handed axe [Incarnate Sky-Splitter] and he and Thrall began to duke it out to the shock of everyone.

Wasn't everything peaceful just a moment ago? Didn't Cyrus say he didn't want to fight? Had they known he only fought because he was mad that Thrall just created a headache for him they probably would've just remembered he was only 16 years old.

The battle they witnessed was remarkable. Thrall was a very powerful shaman and warrior while Cyrus was a mix of multiple classes.

Thrall was surprised after the fight started along with everyone else, rather than use his

usual [Radiant Lightbringer] armor Cyrus had equipped his [Battleplate of the Highlord] set which was his usual dual set.

Rather than a holy aura of protection that his raiding set gave, the highlord battle gear was much more aggressive. It was black with gold trim. In place on the front belt buckle and the shoulder pads were Cyrus new arms sigil. Silver Wolf head outlined in gold with the silver fist holding the sun of the Argent Crusade in the background.

He also had switched out his weapons and used his [Crimson Gladiator's Greatsword] only, which was a ruthless demonic looking blade. It was a large two handed bastard sword with a demon skull with horns acting as the guard for the handle. The blade itself is pitch black and made to look like a spinal column of a creature.. A ruthless purplish red flame leaked from the eyes of the skull and down lines that separated the different spinal disks.

Many who saw the blade felt as if their souls had escaped their body in terror to get away from the blade. It was a side of Cyrus they hadn't seen, not even his own family.

Grom Hellscream was awoken by the fight, when he saw Thrall and Cyrus fighting, his blood negan to boil for a fight. For so long he didn't have control of his own body, he wanted to break it back in. His battle cry awoke many out of their stupor just to be even more shocked. Many who shared the same classes as the three heroes began to get excited.

Seeing a capped Shaman, Warrior and Paladin fight each other was fascinating. Grom had seen that although the battle between the two was intense neither was being malicious or trying to kill. So it was every man for himself, a free for all. Orcs loved to battle, Cyrus knew it was the only way to truly win over both the red and green orcs, he would have to battle them to gain their respect.

After Cyrus and Grom both used [Disarm] on each other, it became a physical brawl. Even Thrall threw his own axe [Dra'gora] and [Doomhammer] to the side and joined in on the fist fight, he had just gotten out of being trapped in a gladiatorial arena so he was getting that same feeling of battle excitement.

Many began to gather in a half circle to spectate the battle. With the large glacier and azure blue water in the background, many found their breath taken away. Many at first, seeing the orcs who were not only different from themselves, many were fearful of them and wanted to kill them too. Grom's skin had been changed from green to red thanks to him drinking Mannoroth's blood.

But seeing the two orcs fight with pride and honor, had Grom teamed up with Thrall many would've moved in, but seeing it was similar to the recent melee tournament changed their attitude. When Grom first moved in, some had started to join but stopped when they saw Grom's first target was Thrall and not Cyrus. So many stopped and observed, shocked that they didn't team up.

Suddenly Tormund Giantsbane threw his weapon down and ran in laughing to join in on the fun. The battle still remained a free for all even after Tormund joined in. Not long after Oberyn then Thoros joined in. All the hot blooded men and women began a friendly battle royale while Willas and Sansa began taking bets while the survivors enjoyed a small after battle victory festival.

After the festival many went to the trainers to gain new abilities. Those who reached the level cap wasted no time in heading to the vault that Cyrus left all the strongest armors. With three bosses down a nice variety of options were available, not enough to fully equip anyone but even getting one good piece can make a noticeable difference.

Cyrus, Thrall and Grom became closer and a level of trust was built. Especially after he informed them Orgrimmar was built and even had orcs living within, they happily accepted the offer for them to rule Orgrimmar and lead the orcs, maintaining Essos and branching out the Alliance. Cyrus planned to build Darnassus deep in the Forest of Qohor.

After opening a portal for Thrall and Grom to Orgrimmar, the dreaded flight home was inevitable. He just put it plainly that he just looks like a person from their world that the Gods had granted his memories. He didn't need to delve into reincarnation, it's already a touchy subject no matter who you spoke to, so that would only complicate everything further. He isn't who he was or used to be, currently he is Cyrus Stark not Arthas.

'Damn anyone who tries to tell me otherwise, I am more than what Athas was.'
