Chapter 17: Crazy Infatuation

Prince Chris and I walked through the buildings,

" I don't have much knowledge of this place" I said

"Is it because the former palace has been destroyed "Chris asked

"Obviously,and I'm not actually allowed to roam this place freely like the former palace "I said nonchalantly

"Why is that ,aren't you also a princess "

Chris asked in confusion

"It's just in name, I'm pretty much an outsider in their eyes and I've gotten used to it " I said

"Well at a point in life we just have to ignore what others think about us, it just becomes unimportant " Chris said

"It's not like I care about how they treat me,I only recognize Onyx as my brother "

I said with a smile .

"Well….I'm pretty bored " Chris said changing the topic.

"Why?" I asked

"I'm not interested in all these places you're showing me " Chris said. I rolled my eyes and continued walking

"Show me your quarters" Chris suddenly asked

"Definitely not and I don't have quarters "

I replied with a frown

"Fine ,then take me to your room "he said

"If you have a death wish then go there"onyx said out of nowhere. I turned to look at him then stifled my laughter, Onyx glared at Chris and said

"If I see you anywhere around my sister I'll break your legs. Dad is requesting for the prince,let's go ".

Onyx and I walked before Chris and met the remaining family members in the hall.

They had already settled down when the three of us entered the hall. I sat down farthest from the rest as usual and Chris decided to sit beside me.

"Where have you been" mom asked out of nowhere, with the impression that she was talking to my brother I didn't answer her and she said

"Ondina I am talking to you "

"Calm down mom, she was just talking to prince Christopher" onyx answered for me. I shot him a weird glance,between anyone in my family he's the least person I'll expect to publicly expose the fact that I was with Chris.

"That's enough! The reason everyone got summoned is to pass some information. The ovrinoda family is going to be staying here for a week, after that, prince Christopher will have to choose the person he wants to get married to. After that is over with the preparations for the war Williams start immediately" Dad said

I felt someone eyes on me and I traced that feeling to see Olivia glaring at me. I looked away from her and my gaze met Chris' and I looked away.

After a few words were concluded upon, everyone got dismissed, as I was going I saw mom and Olivia flocking around Chris desperately trying to get his attention . I stayed back to watch the scene with great amusement. I laughed when I saw Chris expressions,

"Do you like him " Onyx asked me . Startled I quickly answered

"Definitely not"

"Then why are you laughing" onyx asked with evident displeasure

"Can't you see the performance Olivia is displaying in front of Chris " I said

"Chris? Since when did you become so formal with him" Onyx asked

"Ummmm, I have to go" i said while running away from him.

I got to my room an gave myself a mental pat for escaping that question from Onyx.

"Answer my question" I heard onyx voice behind me, startled by seeing him here I exclaimed

"What the heck! Onyx are you trying to give me an heart attack,geez!"

"Answer it" Onyx asked in a threatening voice

"First things first, how did you get in my room" I asked, he just glared at me waiting for me to talk.

"Fine we are just friends" I finally said

"Friends! Friends!. Definitely not under my watch" Onyx said with serious agitation

"Bro chill, we are just friends it's not like he has feelings for me or anything even if he does I'm heartless,it can't work" I explained

"Fine but mind your interactions he's still a guy " onyx said as he was about to leave.

I decided to leave my stuffy room after Onyx had left. I was walking around the corridor when someone closed my mouth and dragged me into a room. I looked up to see Olivia on a big chair in the middle of the room.

"We'll, isn't it the little vixen Ondina"

"What do you want Olivia " I asked feeling really uninterested in her drama.

"Isn't it obvious.... Stay away from my man and I'll spare you "she said in a threatening tone.

"What man" I said acting oblivious

"Don't act like you don't have an idea of what I'm warning you about " she said

"I'm not acting like I don't understand, I'm just ignoring your display of stupidity and crazy infatuation towards a man that you barely know " I said starting to get annoyed

"It's non of your business but let me warn you if I see you anywhere prince Christopher I'll make sure you don't live to tell the story " she threatened as she left the room.

"I'll try to confirm that " i said before she left the room

"Don't push me to the wall Ondina" Olivia said as she exited the room.

I couldn't believe that she would stoop to such levels,actually I can. Ever since she became this shallow version of herself she would do anything to get what she want. I heard my phone ring, it is my manager

"Speak" I demanded

"You have a gig tomorrow at 3 o'clock at the normal spot " he said

"Sure I'll be there " i said and cut the call.

This is exactly what I needed someone to let all my frustrations on.
