" Do you know who are the scariest people in the world?". One fine morning Mom asked,

At that time she was showing me our family heirloom that has been passed down through generations,

It was a simple question for a smart child like me so I answered with confidence as I glared at it. The magnificent family's holy treasure

I answered nonchalantly " The one with anger issues"

" No! Anger can be easily controlled, it's fine as long you avoid them, "

I was wrong, she chuckled and lectured me, which I didn't appreciate much.

"Traitors?"

This was the first time I tried to try my luck, and a word just came out of my mouth betting everything on it.

" No, most of them are fools and cowards." She said.

But...Again I was wrong, It was my first time to be wrong twice, It inraged me

And the last one was a gamble, I was sure of it because who are the worst people that, anger fools, Traitors and "What about Liars? "

I frowned for the first time in my life that day. The Saintess me didn't know something that my foolish mother knew.

And so she said. "I don't think so either because threats work pretty well with them."

I was sure that she didn't know either that's why I demanded to know " Then who are the scariest people in the world, Mother? "

It was a challenge to catch her however her answer opened my eyes and made me realise something new, I was still an arrogant little fool.

She said,

Starved people, people with hunger, those people can eat you while keeping you alive so that you won't decompose, they don't hate you and they are not angry at you either. it's just that they are hungry. Those people are the scariest, They are the pure definition of evil. 

Most of them look so kind and dignified, sometimes they don't even know their true selves and live among us but if you look at them closer, In the eyes, their guts, their words it is easy to identify them!

" Mommy! Are you hungry?", I was hungry, probably starving. But she just laughed and shook. She gave me a sad smile and spoke,

" No! But you are, Should I cook you fried chicken? "

I was just nine years old but I knew what she meant because that hunger had been part of me for my entire life. And now It is over thirty years already and I was raised to where I dreamed of being but I keep starving every single day. I started to hate myself and think that I was a monster until I found someone like me or maybe worse,

Her eyes and every part of her are dying for food, the completely, utterly bones-like skeleton is what she left. She terrifies me and amuses me in a way I can't explain,

" Auntie I was talking to you "

" Ooh! Clara you are here, what were you saying? "

" You promised to make Lara fall in love with me "

" Oooh! I did? "

Now that I think about it..., I have to tame that beast even if I will have to make a little sacrifice. I looked at my niece and smiled, this lovesick girl with a pretty face can be useful sometimes,

" But Clara, we both know that Lara was supposed to be engaged to your cousin, my son "

" But auntie-,

" I'm not done. Yet. If you want something earn it, you can steal, beg or murder, just as long as you win, I'll be your backup, I'm only on the winning side even my son is no exception to that".

" I can do anything? "

" Anything baby girl however don't touch that little bunny beside her. I want her. "

" Ooh! What can I do without you, Auntie ".

Third Person's Pov

The internet has been in uproar for the past few weeks after the release of a new EP from the one and only Ayra Morningstar. " Unholy Mary " and " Fake Smile " have been a hit even before the MV and it hit a Million views three hours after it's released. In short one of the most trending celebrities now is Ayra Morningstar. 

" I'm not on any social media so I don't know much about celebrities " 

Kyle said nervously and Lara extended her hand and handed her a box. At first, she had a ' What is it ?' look but she took it anyway and took a look,

She unwrapped a few more papers before she saw a new iPhone 16, Kyle who didn't see it coming at all looked at it and had a confused look. " Why? ".

" I thought you needed a new one, throw it away if you don't like it"

" Of course I like it. It's just that, I was a little shocked" Lara didn't say much, she smiled and rubbed her hand with her left hand while her right was driving.

At that moment Kyle thought it would have been better if they were lovers however they weren't. She didn't want to complain or ask for more, she was satisfied and agreed to stay this way with her.

It wasn't a long journey but due to traffic, they had to spend so much time on the road, not that they hated it. Both of them liked it that way and their desire remains in their heart,

Ask why?

Because the moment they opened their hearts and declared their love for one another then that would be the last day they would be together. Just like that day ten years ago.

" I think we are here. But I don't even know how to talk with a celebrity ".

" Just say whatever you want. You have me ".

Lara said proudly and Kyle smiled. She wished those words she truly meant them but no! It was just the way for her to look cool, she didn't care about her, she didn't care about love or whatever and yet she was happy.

" I'm so ready to kick that Aaron's ass "

Kyle said cheerfully and Lara stamped her lips into hers before claiming her tongue. The kiss lasted for a few minutes and Lara let go of her " Don't talk about him unless it is necessary"

" Okay, boss "

How Romantic would it be if she were jealous? Kyle knew that wasn't the case.

After getting out of the car they headed to one of the luxurious apartments in the city. Sky City. A perfect place for A-list celebs. She who was born with an exceptional talent was one of those chosen ones who lived in these apartments. Lara was leading the way and Kyle was following.

" I'm getting goosebumps! " Kyle said excitedly and Lara rolled her eyes. " Come on, It's not that hard "

" I hate interacting with people the most and you know that ", Kyle complained however Lara couldn't do much about it. She held her hand gently and smirked. " Trust me and your focus must be only on me "

They reached the reception and went upstairs after they contacted Ayra's housekeeper. They pressed the seventh floor and It didn't take long and they were there.

" You did make use of that card "

Ayra commented as soon as they entered her house. She was sitting on the sofa relaxing with a glass of beverage in her hand, her eyes were on two pieces of jewellery that came to bless her house.

Lara walked and sat on the sofa that was on Ayra's left hand but Kyle stood still. Noticing that she wanted to be welcomed Arya raised her eyebrows and gave her a polite smile " You may sit " she offered with a hand gesture.

" Thank you! I thought it would be impolite to just sit I'm not as bold as someone here ".

She said jokingly and they all laughed except for Lara who had a big frown on her face " I think we already talked on the phone, we are here with a proposal, and we want to work with you " Lara went straight to the business,

" To be honest I can't say that this is the best offer I received but I'm so generous to the people I like so there is still room for negotiation".

" What do you want? "

Lara asked confidently. She knew it wasn't hard to impress a celeb like her. Although she wasn't the most influential person in the country her future was promising, she stood a chance the most however the next sentence made her question her instincts

" Give Kay to me, I don't care about anyone else but give her to me ".
