Here granny said handing me a glass of water from the side table.

 Granny, I'm in so much pain 

I know dear, you will be staying in my room until you have fully recovered.

I can't do that, where will you be staying I said trying to sit up.

 Don't try to get up child, I'll be staying in one of the guest rooms don't worry it's fine and I'll ask Rachel to look after you while you're recovering I nod knowing I was in too much pain to debate with her.

 Get some rest later on I'll send someone to send dinner up for you granny said then kissed me on my forehead.

 Thank you so much for everything I said holding on to granny's hand as she was about to leave

 No problem dear I'm always here for you granny said looking at me with love and adoration.

after granny left I immediately went to sleep

I feel someone nudge me, who is that, and what time is it? I said trying to peer my eyes open.

 I look through the window 

oh, it's night already I slept that long I thought to myself trying to get up but immediately the pain welcome me I then remembered what happened. My big mouth got me in this mess

 oh God why did you let me say that?

 Took you long enough that I thought you died.

 who let you in here Ace I said with bitterness lace in my voice.

 Her name is Rachel I said narrowing my eyes at him.

 You seem to forget the rules just because you're back hurt doesn't mean I can't punish you little Caroline he said smirking and looking down at me with those ocean-blue eyes.

 Immediately I began to feel my heart racing as I felt a cold chill run up my body. I know he's a man true to his word and I know he would punish me if I broke his dumb rule.

But even still I couldn't help but find him attractive standing there with his half-button shirt revealing his toned muscular chest. With his messy hair which seems he has been running his fingers through continuously and his hands in his pocket standing there at six feet and four inches, he looked like a god.

 Oh shit, I must have hit my head really hard yesterday I said lightly heating my head.

 Pervert, I said out loud I can't let him know what he said affected me.

 As I was saying  earlier he continued, walking around the room and ignoring what I said 

I took the dinner my grandmother was sending up here with Rachel he said her name sarcastically

 I ruled my eyes 

and decided to take it to you myself he said pointing to the food on the side table.

 I know you're not  the caring type, he turned around and smiled

What's the real reason you came up here, to see me in pain?

 Maybe, but that's not the real reason I came here Why did you take the punishment when you say you didn't do it?

 I know anyone wouldn't believe so to make you guys feel good about yourself I took the punishment and to show you that I'm not easily shaken or broken I said looking at him dead in the eye and letting him know the last part is directed to him.

 We stared at each other for a while without saying anything until he broke the silence

  Eat the food, I expect to see you in my office tomorrow.

I can't I've not fully healed, I need to be fully healed to start working.

I don't give fuck he said about walking through the door.

 You can't do this please give me at least two days I plead as tears began to sting my eyes. He stopped in his tracks standing at the door with his back turned.

 alright, two days nothing more he said and walk through the door, what have I ever done to deserve this?

mom, dad I wish you were here I cried myself to sleep not bothering to eat the food.

Caroline, why didn't you eat last night this is not good for your health Rachel cursed me. 

I'm sorry I didn't feel hungry

Rachel came and sat beside me on the bed

No, he didn't he just came and gave me the food and just left, don't worry I'm okay I said turning around and giving her a reassuring smile.

There was a knock on the door both me and Rachel shared the same look, who could that be?

Come in I called out

 How are you doing?

Oh hunter it's you, I'm doing well I feel better than how I was yesterday thanks for asking

Rachel, Hunter said looking at her with a smile.

 I turned to look at Rachel but she kept on staring at Hunter not saying anything with her cheeks all pink.

 I smiled with a knowing  look on my face, Rachel has a crush on Hunter

 Rachel, I said nudging her, hunter greeted you aren't you going to say something?

Goodmorning Master Hunter she answered with her  cheeks all red holding down her head shyly not meeting his eye 

Hunter smiled, anyways Caroline I'm sorry about yesterday I wish I could have helped but he is my uncle and he is the head of the house.

 Wait, Ace is your uncle I said shocked 

Hunter awkwardly laughs yes he is.

My father, ace brother is a lot older than him, a lot older and I was born a couple of years after ace so we sort of grew up together.

 Well you two are of different natures you're sweet and kind and he's evil and heartless.

 Oh well, Hunter replied.

Just as I was about to say something

 someone barged through the door.

Ava don't you know how to knock Hunter angrily asks Ava

 I'm sorry but I was looking for you it's urgent Ace wants to see you, there has been a shoot-out at the warehouse.

Fuck, Caroline, Rachel I'll see you guys later he said rushing through the door.

Be careful Rachel called out, don't worry he'll be okay I gave her a reassuring smile knowing she deeply cares for Hunter I just hope they kill Ace and save me the trouble I thought to myself.

Rachel and I talked for a while then she left to do her chores. Granny came to visit me but had to leave early because she had to run some errands out in the city. I was left to lay in bed the whole day bored. I had nothing to do and I am in too much pain to do anything either, times like this I missed Emma.
