**Day 1, 8 am:**

I was strolling around the campus in search of a specific location. My eyes kept darting around while my face looked as confused as ever. The library was supposed to be around here, but when I got to the specified place, nothing was in sight. Did the library disappear overnight? I returned and began heading back to class; I would just say that I got lost, and the teacher would probably choose another person to go. I wasn't particularly worried since I did not care that much about this college. Four hours later, and I was finally allowed to go home, feeling tired and hungry. I stopped at a café. The atmosphere felt somewhat somber; I looked around, and my eyes locked on a TV screen. The announcer was talking about a weird phenomenon where certain places began to disappear, and strange obelisks began falling from the sky. This would normally cause mass panic, but everyone around me was fairly calm. They did look worried, though. I got back to my food, and after I finished, I got up and began heading home. The streets were dark, and some buildings weren't there anymore. Entire office buildings began disappearing, and I even caught sight of a house glowing blue and vanishing. My heart began beating faster, but something was calming it down gradually; it was like a warm current was flowing through my body. Fortunately, my house was still there, so I headed inside and dropped on the bed. I would worry more later, after a good sleep.

**Day 2, 10 am:**

I felt refreshed, so I headed for a quick grocery run. My body strangely felt more agile, and I could even see that the world turned more alive. No way, I thought to myself; it couldn't be... I stood in place and focused on my body. With closed eyes and steady breathing, I could see blue lines all over my body. It looked like a second circulatory system. Focusing on my hand made the blue essence flow more toward that hand, illuminating it brighter inside my head. I often used to read ancient myths about magic and sorcery; the scientists even theorized that magic existed in the past, and they even managed to recreate a bit of the ancient energy that past magicians used. The blue lines that I saw when I closed my eyes resembled the magic channels that the scientists told in the studies. Since everyone knew that, very far in the past, magicians used to exist, such news probably did not shock them that much. In that moment, I understood why the obelisks did not cause hysteria. I was very interested in this magic that I have been told about so much, so I went to the park and sat on a bench; it was deserted, and I didn't bother to ask why. I did not have any TV close by anyway. Closing my eyes and focusing on the blue veins, I imagined a fireball appearing in my hands. A warm sensation spread to my palm, and upon checking, I really did manage to make a small fireball appear in my hand. A smile appeared on my face as I imagined all sorts of shapes.
