Magical Odyssey in Marvel

This is a work depicting the life of a transmigrate that works his way through life in Hogwarts and Later the Marvel Comics Universe. The Main Character is a SI-OC. This is my attempt at learning how to write a proper story, so please bear with me. Though, I do promise there won't be many grammatical errors. Other than that, I have a general idea of how this fic will go, but most of it is just me writing as I go. https : // discord . gg / qRgGsUXyNc

Mystic Arts, at last.

Chapter 20 –

The rest of the year ended rather quickly, for Nathan. He was successful in writing the first part of 'Percy Jackson with 'The Lightning Thief' in those days. His mum had been very supportive of his endeavor. She was instrumental in finding a suitable publisher for the book. Nathan was only able to do so, because he was able to enchant a pen into writing the entire book, from memory alone.

His mum was able to get a good publisher in the non-magical world, while Ted Tonks, after having read a few initial manuscripts of the book, was more than happy to help him have it published in the magical world.

Nathan had then returned to Hogwarts, where he regaled the tale of the trial of Sirius Black to his friends. He had kept in touch with Sirius using letters he sent via Edna, wanting to let the man heal and come to his bearings, after he settled into Number 5 Privet Drive, just neighboring Harry Potter's own.

From the few interactions he had with Sirius through his letters, Nathan could tell that he was finally at peace, having met both his Godson and his other estranged werewolf friend.

A few of the other students had started giving him a wider berth in Hogwarts, knowing that he was responsible for the capture of Peter Pettigrew, and the exoneration of Sirius Black. That was more than welcome to Nathan, as he had taken the extra time and space that he was receiving from the other students, except his friends, into studying the enchantments of the marauder's map. He was close to being able to replicate the effects. He believed, that if he could replicate the effect on a wider scale, he could essentially have a near-perfect surveillance system for various places.

He had finally made plans regarding the future of the magical world. And he wanted Voldemort to be done with, as soon as possible. Knowing the advancement of modern technology from his previous world, and combining it with the even more rapidly developing tech from this universe, he was almost certain that the fate of the magical world, would be doomed if adequate steps were not taken to counter the fallout for when the statute of secrecy eventually falls apart. It was an inevitability considering the massive number of things that could go wrong, and there would be a time, where mass obliviations wouldn't work to prevent it from happening.

To prepare for that eventuality, Nathan needed to gain more control over his magic, and learn everything there is to harness the more obscure energies of the marvel magical world. And he knew one place where he could go to seek guidance, outside of Hogwarts. He was going to The London Sanctum of the mystic arts, after the school year ended.

"I still can't get over how you caught Peter Pettigrew. Did you seriously catch him on a fluke, over Charlie's little brother wanting a turkey leg?" Jeremy asked Nathan.

"Forget that, Nathan you have to tell me whether you've written the next installment of Percy Jackson. You can't just say that there is more to come and leave us at that" Carlisle interjected, shaking Nathan's shoulders a little. They were seated in a train compartment. It was the 30th of June 1989, and they were returning home, after having completed their first year at Hogwarts.

"Guys! Guys! Alright. Yes, Carlisle, I have finished writing the second part of Percy Jackson, and yes, I will give you a free copy of the magical edition. I will have Edna send it over as soon as I reach home." Nathan replied.

"Hey, send one for me too!" Mary-Anne said.

"Me three!" Jeremy also added, turning to stare at his friend.

Nathan chuckled and said "Alright! I will send all of you a copy, after I reach home. That may take a while though, I will be staying in London for some time, to see the sights and all."

"That's fine, I suppose. Just don't forget!" Jeremy said, getting slightly dejected. "Anyway, I will need some help finishing the transfiguration assignment later, I suggest we meet up at your home, during the vacation." He continued.

"Yeah, I will send you a letter telling you when I am home, so we can arrange a sleepover, Jeremy. What about you two? It would be fun." Nathan asked.

"I will have to check with my parents, they had plans of going back to the states to visit my aunt." Carlisle informed them.

"And I am going to visit Rome, so I don't think I will be free," Mary-Anne said sadly.

They continued making plans for some time when the door to their compartment opened and Tonks walked in.

"Heya Kiddies!" She said looking at everyone, then she looked at Nathan and added "Apprentice."

Nathan had lost his prank war with Tonks, and she had quickly declared that he would be her pranking apprentice from then on.

"Yeah, yeah, relish your victory all you want. But next year, you will be but the learner, and I, will be the master." Nathan retorted.

"You seriously need to get off your Star Wars obsession," Carlisle commented.

"Hey! I am not obsessed!" Nathan retorted.

"Anyway, before you devolve into another one of your arguments, we're celebrating Bill's last ride on the express, and we've arranged a party down in the last cabinet, and no, there will be no Butter Beer." She quickly added, when Nathan went to ask a question.

Nathan sighed, and said "That sucks. There should be Butter Beer. I really want to try it. But, for Bill, we will come."

Tonks rolled her eyes, as she reopened the door and led the group to the compartment where they had arranged the party.

After arriving back in London, Nathan requested his mum to first drive him by the National Liberal Club, near which the London Sanctum of the mystic arts was located. It was time for him to try and learn the mystic arts, and potentially meet with one of the most powerful humans on the planet.

"Are you sure, this is the place you want to visit? How do you even know of this place?" Jolene asked her son, as she parked her Aston outside the white marbled building.

"Yes, mum. This is the place, and I found out about it from a friend." He replied, not wanting to elaborate further. He wasn't lying per se, if you stretch the meaning of finding out from stories of a friend named Stan Lee, from your past life that is, but Jolene didn't need to know that.

Nathan stepped out in front of the door of the place after he made sure the signature symbol of the order of the mystic arts, that he had seen in the movies was facing the street from the window out above.

He knocked on the door and waited.

"Are you sure, we're supposed to be here?" His mum asked as she stood beside him.

"Yes, mum. This is exactly where we are supposed to be." He replied, as the door finally opened revealing a man in a greyish robe, with an orange sash. He had a scruffy beard, and he was looking curiously at his visitors.

He focused on Nathan, as he was looking to be leading the pair to the destination and said, "Hello, how may I help you?"

Nathan paused for a second and replied "Uhm, hi! I am Nathan Frye, this is my mother, Jolene Shephard. I would like to meet with the Sorcerer Supreme, please." He decided to be straightforward with his intentions. He figured, hiding things when he's expecting training in the mystic arts from the order, wouldn't do him any good.

The man looked at Nathan for a second, amusement clear on his face, and then glanced at Jolene, before replying "Well, Mr. Frye, I am Sol Rama, and I hope you realize that the Sorcerer Supreme isn't just some person that you can walk to the front door of and expect a meeting with, right?" He said, but he did allow them into the building.

"Oh, yeah. I really don't know what else to do, actually. And we live a few hours' drive away from London. So, I came here as soon as my school let off." Nathan replied, as he followed the master of the sanctum inside.

"And what school would that be?" Sol Rama asked, though from his demeanor, Nathan guessed that the master had some idea.

"Oh, I study at Hogwarts," Nathan replied casually.

"Nathan!" His mother hissed.

"Oh, don't worry ma'am. We know about Hogwarts. We practice magic too, you know." The master allayed her fears.

He had led them up the stairs, towards a library that was filled with peculiar items, like Cauldrons, Books, Swords, Spears, etc., and based on the décor of the building and its interior, Jolene had somewhat guessed that this was a magical place.

"Anyway, you're lucky, Mr. Frye. The Sorcerer Supreme has recently returned after a trip to the Negative Zone, and she's freed up her schedule, she may be willing to meet you." Sol Rama said, as they reached a room with a few closed windows. "Please, wait here."

He opened the window, that led to a courtyard, that was filled with monks that were practicing various forms of eldritch magic Katas. In the backdrop of the courtyard were large mountains, covered with snow, and the sound of birds, and fresh air, as well as grunts and shouts of the practicing monks filled the room.

"Is that…." Jolene stammered.

"A portal, yes. Come on mum, you have seen a portal by platform 9 ¾, and you've seen Professor McGonagall, apparating me. This should be nothing new for you." Nathan pointed out.

"Oh hush, it's not the same and you know it. I can't see through the portal at Kings Cross, and watching you get teleported was just that one time, and that too you guys popped out of view down the walkways. This, on the other hand, is quite like that Tucan that she had produced, I can actually see it." His mum gushed, her eyes shining in wonder.

"Mom, I do magic at home, all the time. It's nothing new." Nathan grumbled.

"Hush now, young man. Let me enjoy the moment." His mum chastised him.

The Master of the Sanctum returned in a few moments, as he called on the pair from the other side of the portal. "The Sorcerer Supreme will see you now." He said, and the pair crossed the portal to the other side, which made them jump halfway across the planet in a single step.

"Please follow Master Sara Wolfe to her room." He said as he indicated a woman wearing similar robes, but with a blue sash on her shoulder.

The dark-skinned master of the order nodded to them, and quickly turned and led them into the monastery.

Nathan and Jolene admired the monks, practicing their Katas, their magic. They admired the scenic landscape of Nepal, in which the monastery was located in. They were guided by the master, to a room that likely faced the river adjoining the waterfall which was at the foot of the mountain. She turned to face them and said "Please, head inside. She will see you now."

Nathan nodded and thanked the woman. He turned to his mum and said "Mum, can I go in there first? I want to ask her something. I will tell you later, if everything goes how I think it will."

Jolene was a little hesitant of allowing Nathan to go in alone. She had dreaded the trial that he had attended a few months prior and didn't like leaving him in places where he could hurt, but she nodded nonetheless.

"Thank you, mum!" Nathan said, and he gathered his nerves, and opened the door to the room in which the sorcerer supreme was waiting for him.

Walking into the room, Nathan looked to the far balcony where he could see the visage of a lone figure, admiring the view of the serene mountain valley.

"Come, Nathan Frye, tell me what you see from here." The figure requested.

Nathan walked into the balcony, and first observed the figure. She was tall and bald. Wearing white robes, with a black sash. She was leaning on the railing, of the balcony, gazing out into the valley.

"I meant the valley, not me. Though, I do understand. I am quite beautiful if I say so myself." She chuckled.

Nathan's gaze first flickered to her bald head, and then to the valley, but he wasn't quick enough as she chuckled yet again. "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, Mr. Frye. Do you find the valley to be beautiful?" She asked.

Nathan focused on the scenery in the valley. He observed the waterfall, falling into the river, that weaved through the snowcapped mountain range. He saw trees at the foot of the river, with leaves an auburn color. Bird's nesting in a few branches, and squirrels running on the tree's bark. He could see tiny animals, that were quenching their thirst from the water in the river. It was quite a serene and beautiful sight.

"I think, that it's quite calming, it is beautiful," Nathan replied, after taking in the view for some time.

The Sorcerer hummed noncommittally and then said "Master Sara Wolfe, the woman who guided you and your mother to this room, initially, didn't find this view to be beautiful. On the contrary, her opinion was that it disturbed her. The silence offered by the place, broken only by distant noises of the waterfall, and some birds and animals, did not appeal to her senses. But, that is because she is medically blind."

That surprised Nathan, and the Ancient One finally turned to look at the boy, as she continued "You are surprised. But, you shouldn't be. Everyone seeks Kamar Taj, and the mystic arts for a purpose. So, I ask you, Nathan Frye, what is your purpose for seeking the mystic arts in Kamar Taj, especially seeing as you have a surprisingly good understanding of a form of magic already?"

Nathan could feel the weight behind her gaze, and he knew that his answer would be imperative to his education with the Mystic Arts.
