chapter 10 - Assistance

Those two are from the Flame family and the Sun family.

One of the most strong families in the summer city.

The benefits of saving a direct line of those two families are self-evident, not to mention both of them inherited the family's rare profession.

If they can gain favor from those two families then their life will take a completely different route. It will be like pie dropping from the sky.

However before they could live their fantasies, a basin of cold water was poured over them.

"Save? How will you save someone from the sea of bones? That's the sea of bones."

"Yes, there are at least thousands of skeleton warriors in this sea of bones, and that boss is definitely not something we can deal with!"

He Knew Yumi from the class and she wasn't like those arrogant rich girls, she wasn't very social but at least she didn't look down on others, And she was beautiful. As Link was approaching the wave, he was using his brain rapidly to find the best solution to save them and retreat.

At the same time, on the opposite side of the wave, there were two men standing near each-other. One of them was wearing Red robe and the other one was wearing white robe.

They both were looking in the direction of the wave, and their attention was on Yumi and Maggie's figures.

White robbed one said, "Should we rescue them?"

As the other guy heard him, he looked towards the wave and said playfully "wait a second, there is something interesting going on."

Guy in the white robe was surprised so he looked in the direction of the wave and noticed Link's figure and nodded "oh."

Link, who had no idea that Yumi and Maggie had guardians looking after them, reached the edge of the sea of bones. He could see the figures of both Yumi and Maggie in the wave.

Link, who didn't want to waste any more time, fished out an amulet from his backpack.

This amulet was one of the items dropped by the previous boss, but Link didn't have time to upgrade it, because of those adventurers.

So he used his Amplification module on this item.

Soon a bright light flashed on the amulet and a voice sounded in his mind.

"Ding, e-level Explosive amulet was amplified by fivefold, it has been upgraded to d-level Blast Ampulet."

This was his first D-level item, but he didn't have time to appreciate it. Link checked its description.

Looking at its description, Link was surprised to find out the damage value. But he didn't plan to hold onto it.

Link shouted in Yumi's direction "Hey, I'm going to use an item to open up a path for you, take this chance to run out the siege."

Yumi, who heard Link's shout, was confused for a second but after glancing towards him, she nodded and said "okay."

Yumi wasn't stupid, she knew that it would be impossible for both of them to retreat, so she rationally accepted Link's proposal. She will pay for his help after this ordeal, she thought to herself.

Link used the blast amulet, some distance away from both of them. As soon as the amulet activated, fire elements around them moved towards the amulet rapidly, soon a big explosion took place in the distance.

All three of them could feel heat waves coming from the center of the explosion, even retreating professionals also stopped after hearing the explosion, they could see a fire cloud forming towards the edge of the sea of bones.

Yumi and Maggie were also surprised by the damage caused from this explosion, as this explosion caused almost the same damage as Yumi's inherited skill.

But both of them didn't wait for the skeleton monsters to recover their numbers.

Maggie took the opportunity and used shield spell to deflect any damage done to them, while Yumi picked up maggie and ran out of the siege using shield as cover.

Link was also surprised by the destructive power of the amulet and also felt pain of wasting such a life saving item on mere mobs. But he didn't feel any regret after using it to save both the girls.

He wasn't a saint but if he could afford to save some acquaintances without putting himself in danger then he would do it without thinking much.

As soon as Yumi walked out of the sea of bones with Maggie, both of them gave Link a grateful look, but all three of them didn't waste any time to greet each other.

All of them started retreating to the opposite side of the undead hall.

After running for ten more minutes all of them stopped. Maggie, who was sweating buckets, lay down on the ground while panting.

Same is true for Yumi but she wasn't as shameless as Maggie, she walked to one of the trees and sat under it to rest.

Link was in better condition compared to both of them. So he just stood beside one of the trees while playing with a dagger.

Link was confused, why did monster not chase after them? Link was planning to play cat and mouse with that monster while killing the mobs, that monster was the best farming device according to Link.

How would Link know that those two guardians from the flame family and the sun family stopped the boss from chasing after him. If he knew, Link would surely curse them instead of thanking them.

He was supposed to split his path during the chase but now he is stuck in this awkward situation.

Maggie who was lying on the ground said while looking at her own mountains "Little mimi, big sister is exhausted. If you ask me, I would never recommend having these big things. I know that you are jealous of them but they are really inconvenient in these types of situations."

Yumi ,who heard Maggie's stupid talk, was feeling embarrassed and angry at the same time.

After not hearing anything from Yumi, Maggie turned her head to look in Yumi's direction. She was amused to find out that Yumi was sitting there with a red face.
