"Hi-his Grace," Prudence exclaimed as she tried breathing as calmly as she could but her lungs were miserably failing her. When her feet did not feel the surface below, the depth of the water dawned on her and for all the efforts she had done to run away from Vincent, right now she was desperately holding his forearm for the sake of her life.
It was a sight to behold for Vincent. Her sapphire eyes shone with rage even though she was scared.
He had not expected her to know how to swim, of course, but there was this odd fear which surfaced on her face, which she tried to hide with all her might. But Vincent made a note to see everything that was a part of her. "Move your legs back and forth. That should make you float," and Vincent let go of his arm which had circled around her waist. It was one support keeping Prudence from dipping and now that it was gone, she unconsciously pulled herself closer to Vincent, almost hugging him.
