Vincent chuckled at Prudence's words. She knew well that there was no trouble after he himself gave away the permission to call him Lord Dominick. His Grace simply turned and walked away, making Prudence follow him with confusion and irritation weaved over her face. She grabbed the skirt of her dress as she kept up with his casual long stride. In no time, they both had reached the end of the stairs when Prudence stopped Lilian's maid.
Without the care of Vincent's permission, Prudence rushed to the heavily bandaged maid, who was followed by a coachman helping her with her luggage.
Upon seeing Prudence approach, the maid stopped in her track and presented her bow. The coachman behind did the same on seeing the young Lady's maid bow to someone else. "You are leaving early?" Prudence asked, "you should rest back with that injury of yours."
The maid was flattered by that request but then she looked up and saw His Grace a few feet away.
