Vincent faced Prudence as he realised she had stopped eating, "Is the food not up to your taste?"
His question snapped Prudence out of her thoughts. She shook her head while forming a forced smile on her lips, "It's good. I just..." Without any further words, Prudence cut another slice of the meat on her plate. The juice trickled down from the cut portion and Prudence ate the piece she cut for herself. There were so many words Prudence could say to him but her stupidity had no place here. The more she behaved in a manner that most men hated, the more Vincent messed with her.
"What clouds your mind?" Vincent questioned focusing all his attention on her.
Prudence pursed her lips as she chewed softly. There was no option open to ignore Vincent now. She simply decided not to mention about Daisy, "I just wanted to taste the food my mother used to make."
