Bob sat all Bradly eyed, staring face to face with his psychiatrist who wore a professional look. Bob sat cross-legged in a black seat besides the man with spectacles,a fantastic gray Suit and an ever winning smile. This was their first lesson. The other sessions with other psychiatrist hadn't gone that well so Bob did hold that much hope but unknown to him,This was going to be the first and last time he would ever ask for solutions to his marriage problems.
"So Bob," The man began with a friendly smile. He tapped the small pad with a white pen repeatedly as he continued
"How are you doing today"
"Great"
"You sure, Anything going on?"
"No"
"Want to talk to me about anything?"
"No"
"So no topic, you want to discuss personally?"
"Yes"
The man smiled gently again. Bob was going to be a hard but to crack as like all patients. He just had to break through his defences. And that was just what he did. He spent the rest of his session talking and conversing with him about everything except why Bob was really there. Little by little, Bob began to open up and started to see psychiatrist,no,this particular man in good light. It was like he had reached into the very depth of his soul Soon, he opened up.
"oh really"The man replied looking intrigued as Bob narrated his marriage problems. He just didn't love his wife anymore. There was no more spark ,no chemistry. But he had much respect for her before so he couldn't leave her.
Yet .
The psychiatrist burst out laughing that made Bob confused. The man adjusted his frames and cleared his throat. He assured him that it was normal in marriages especially in long lasting ones, that young spark might die but love and respect won't especially in a good one.
"So what should I do now ?"
The psychiatrist smiled.
"Go back home, love her all you can, shower her with all the things a wife would want a husband to provide and maybe you will find the answer" Bob didn't like the seeming straight forward but cryptic remark but he did anyways
It worked
