Chapter 19: Saving Zoro.....

Shells Town, East Blue:-

In the tallest building of the Marine Base, in a luxuriously decorated room, a burly middle aged man was sitting on the chair, through the window, he could look down on the whole town.

The man's chin is wrapped in thick iron sheets. It seems that he had been gravely injured here.

At the same time, the iron chin also made him look more like a savage lawless criminal rather than a Marine Captain.

" Hahaha, I'm the greatest!" The man said while he lit up a cigar and puffed out the mist toward the window.

A Marine henchman behind him immediately started bootlicking and said, "Yes! Morgan Captain is the greatest Marine Captain in the whole East Blue! "

" But the amount of tribute has decreased a lot recently! " Morgan let out a breath of smoke. indifferently said. He had forced the townsfolk to pay him weekly tribute, but recently due to some unknown reason the amount was being reduced drastically.

The Marine henchman had cold sweat on his forehead. He has heard the dissatisfaction in Morgan's voice, so he was very nervous at this moment. So hurriedly explained, " Because the the civilians have reached their limit for now! "

" Hmmm, so that's the reason. " Morgan had a cruel smirk on his face while looking outside through the window. Nobody knew what was going in his mind.

At this exact moment, the door of the room was pushed open and Helmeppo walked in with an arrogant manner. He directly smashed his fist on the table and shouted, " Father, let's go. We should execute that bastard publicly. " His face was swollen on one side.

Captain Morgan turned around to look at his son. He was really disappointed while looking at this scumbag. This useless piece of trash was full of shortcomings.

' Lily....if not for my promise to you, i would have already killed this useless son a long ago. ' Thought Morgan and clenched his fist in frustration. He couldn't do anything to this asshole because of his promise to his late wife.

Morgan gritted his teeth and asked in cold tone, " What problem did you cause this time? " He was fed up his son's useless complaints.

" Father, look at my face. That mongrel kicked me on my face. I want you to take revenge for me. " Then Helmeppo started explaining the situation.

Actually the situation was quite simple. Like anime a little girl came to give some rice balls to Zoro, but for some reason Helmeppo has also arrived at the spot.

He threw the rice balls and tried to beat the little girl. But as he was inside Zoro's range of target, Zoro viciously kicked him and the girl escaped safety as a result.

At the same time Luffy was enjoying his stroll with Kaya and Reiju. He didn't find anything interesting, so he told Reiju and Kaya to enjoy shopping and directed dashed towards the Marine base.

Luffy broke into the Marine base alone, but he was in a peculiar situation. Because his infiltration was rather easy and he couldn't even find a single Marine soldier.

His eyebrows knitted together and he was sure that something was definitely wrong.

So he didn't waste any time and dashed towards the open field where Zoro was supposed to be.

Marine Training Ground:-

A wooden cross was erected on the huge training ground and a man was tied to the cross.

He was a muscular man of average height with green hair and slightly tanned skin. He had three identical gold earrings on his left earlobe and a black  bandana was tied around his left bicep.

This man was Pirate Hunter Zoro, who was infamous for his swordsmanship in the entire East Blue.

Currently Morgan along with some Marine soldiers were surrounding him. Morgan had enough of this everyday bullshit. Helmeppo was nagging him everyday for punishing this fellow so he decided to end this matter today.

Morgan started beating Zoro ruthlessly by a iron rod and Helmeppo watched the scene unfolding with satisfaction.

" Incompetent trash i don't even want to waste my saliva on you. " Morgan tossed the rod and returned back to his position.

Zoro wanted to respond, however when he opened his mouth blood surged uncontrollably and he ended up spitting out a mouthful on the ground.

He was already exhausted in the first place because of not eating for two days.

' Pathetic...miserable....hateful, why had this happened!! ' Zoro cursed himself inside his heart for his incompetency.

" Ready to shoot? " Ordered Morgan to his soldiers and they pointed their guns simultaneously towards Zoro.

** Bang * Bang * Bang **

Looking at the bullets flying out of the muzzles, Zoro felt cold in his heart. His whole life flashed in front of his eyes. Then he remembered the beautiful silhouette of Kuina and his oath to become the strongest swordsman.

' How could I die here? Absolutely not! Absolutely not! I have to fulfill my promise ' Zoro thought and started struggling intensely.

But his struggling was of no use and he watched helplessly as the approaching bullets.

Just then a silhouette descended from the sky. The figure entered with a bang and landed silently in front of the besieged Zoro blocking the incoming bullets.

The Marine soldiers were all stunned by this sudden turn of events, including Morgan, Zoro and Helmeppo. They had only one though in their mind; * where the fuck did this guy come from? *

' Who is he? ' Thought Zoro.

Mixed emotions surged in Zoro's heart. After the feeling of shock receded, he felt touched beyond words.

Luffy stood still as a pine tree. His bangs gently swayed on his forehead in the breeze.

His eyebrows were raised rebelliously and his were eyes deep and chilling.

His entire person excluded an evil yet charming quality.
