I was an idiot that was the first thought I felt in the morning. My head wasn't splitting or anything but the pain was there for sure. I cracked open my eyes to the place where Lucien sat but to my luck he wasn't there. But the mattress creased where he laid last night so I hadn't imagined any of the conversation. I noticed a small piece of piece of paper my fingers rubbed at the familiar handwriting. 'I'm not good with goodbyes I would rather spend my life imagining the last sight of you curled under me'. I rolled the paper and threw it away. I have to do this. My journey outside the kingdom is inevitable no matter what Lucien says or my friends. I had to go.
