Sitting at the kitchen table with a chocolate pocky in your mouth, you were interrupted by a knock at the door.
Disinterested you shout, "Who is it?"
"Mr. Yun."
Hearing that name was unexpected.
You glance at your phone to see the time as you open the door. "Mr. Yun, what are you doing here?"
"Min-ssi requested that I bring you to the stadium to see his rehearsal. Although, I told him it was a bad idea…" Meticulously, Mr. Yun pushes his glasses to the bridge of his nose with his middle finger.
You glower at Yoongi's manager, seeing how obvious it was that this man did not like you. "Mr. Yun, I understand that you are not very fond of my presence, but you're going to have to take that up with Yoongi."
"Oh trust me, I did."
You raise an eyebrow.
"Anyways, time is of the essence. Yoongi's rehearsal will be continuing for the next two hours.
Was now really a good time to see Yoongi?
You were very much upset with him still. Nonetheless, you were also curious to see what it was like being in an empty stadium before the crowd showed up.
You get dressed, leaving with Mr. Yun.
When the two of you finally arrived, Mr. Yun was escorted to the front where security awaited to take his keys. He hands it to them, allowing them to move his car from the main road.
Following him inside, a breeze hits you like no other. It was the fresh smell of a clean stadium before the performance. It was hushed, no sound of people around.
Reaching the top of the escalator you gape at how bright and white everything was. Empty concession stands lined the lobby, leading your eyes beyond where the space curves.
"Imagine the lines tomorrow…" You mumble. "…I'm gonna have to fight to get here early."
Mr. Yun calls out to you, snapping you out of your trance.
Scurrying being him, he leads you down to the main floor—the level where you could only dream to step foot in.
Inching closer to the stage, your eyes wander towards the bleachers. You never paid attention to how high the nosebleed section was until now.
You smile in awe. "I'm actually down here!"
"Testing, one, two, three?" You hear after someone taps the microphone a few times.
Your attention averts to the stage where the team was rehearsing. And in the middle of them was Yoongi with his arms folded and a drink in hand. He looked so handsome in the pose he stood in.
He spoke English, swiftly branching off into Korean. He explained what he expected to see when he was performing specific songs onstage. After that, he closes his mouth and takes a sip.
"If you want, you can sit up there so you can see Min-ssi clearly." The manager points at the first level of bleachers above the ground level.
You questioned the location since you'd prefer to just be down here where you can physically touch Yoongi. However, you shut your mind up, doing as Mr. Yun suggests.
Sitting down in a comfortable seat that was parallel to the stage, you watch the rapper do a few dance routines of his own to pass the time.
After that, they resumed their rehearsal.
Yoongi didn't play anything of the sort, really. Tiny samples of his music were played just to give an idea of the setup.
After practicing one song in its entirety, Yoongi finally looks into the bleachers only to see—well, you there.
Motionless, he stands there, holding his cup again.
It was sort of weird, especially because he was literally just laughing with one of the guys.
You fix your gaze at the band members, trying your best to ignore Yoongi's eccentric behavior.
"Let's take it from the top guys." Mr. Yun shouts, twirling his finger in the air.
While they continue, you look at your phone seeing that there was a notification from your close friend.
Kyla:
Hey, I haven't heard from you in a while. How are things between you and Yoongi?
You frown.
Putting the phone back in your purse, you lean back in your seat, hugging it tightly.
Your eyes drew to him once more.
So effortlessly, Yoongi sings his lyrics into the mic, swinging his hand to the beat.
When he finished his score, the manager clapped. You hadn't realized that Mr. Yun traveled his way to your row. "Excellent. Let's take it from the top."
"Uh, how many times does he have to practice?"
"As many times as it takes to make sure the show goes accordingly."
"A bit much, don't you think?" You thought you grumbled low enough.
"How do you think these kpop idols make you fangirls happy when they go up on stage? It takes hours of dedication and practice to pull these off. Let alone on your own! This is Min-ssi's first solo tour, and I refuse to let his first be the worst!"
As usual, Mr. Yun was rambling. Chuckling, you say, "I'm sure Yoongi will do just fine. This is Yoongi we're talking about after all."
"You have no clue who Min Yoongi really is."
Eyeing Mr. Yun, you questioned his remark. There was no reply. He simply stood a few seats over from you with his arms folded, keeping his eyes on the pop star.
Slouching in the cushy seat, you suck your teeth.
