Sitting in my office, I swirled around a glass of brandy and looked over an update on the docks and where shipments were. Along with another business deal Romeo had made, I would be making even more money. I was already raking in a million in a week or two’s time, but I never minded more.
More money I made, the more I could spoil my girl.
Nyx wandered into my office, and I peered up at him with a raised brow. What was he doing in my office without knocking? I thought he was in the basement cleaning it up.
“What are you doing here? I thought I told you to clean?” I ran my index finger along the rim of my glass.
“I just got word from Danny that Raven snuck out. I don’t know how long she has been gone.” Nyx's tone was panicked, and as soon as the words left his lips, I was on my feet.
