Chapter 30

Logan didn't know much of what was going through the head of Daphne since he was more focused on trying not to get killed, apparently, Daphne wasn't going easy on him in the slightest.

She was using her full strength, knowing fully well that she was two Ranks above him. Logan knew that if things continued like this, he would be badly injured by the time they were done fighting. Of course he knew that he would heal as well, but who would want to willingly get injured if they could at least find a way to not get injured?

The thought of using his werewolf form flashed through his head, but thinking about it, he decided against it. The main reason for this training was to improve his fighting abilities without having to use his werewolf form, and for him to bring out most of the strength he had hidden in him.

In his werewolf form, he could use almost double of the current strength he has when in this present state, if he could at least draw out more strength without having to transform, things would be better for him.

Daphne continued her attacks, but Logan wasn't making things easy for her. Unfortunately for him, no matter how hard he tried to fight against her, he still wasn't as powerful as she was.

After ten more minutes.

"Time out, time out." He couldn't help but want to take a break from getting beat up.

Daphne surprisingly listened to him and stopped attacking him. To be honest, he thought she would still continue fighting since she hadn't spoken a word to him since he arrived. He thought maybe she was mad at him for being ten minutes late.

"Thank you, I need some water." Logan said through struggling breaths.

"Stop whining, you'll be fine." Daphne said before sitting down.

"You think so?" Logan asked.

"You're a werewolf, do you think you can die easily?" Daphne rolled her eyes at the overreacting Logan.

Getting to know him, she realized he was actually a little bit fun to be with. From his usual facial expression when she saw him at school, and how he only speaks with a few people, she felt maybe he was a loner who was depressed or something like that, only after coming in contact with him did she realize he was not that bad of a company.

She had also seen how much he truly cares for and loves his younger sister. This was an apparent characteristic of most elder brothers, especially those who experience a situation like what Logan experienced with his mother dying early.

They stayed in the factory a little longer before deciding to go back home. Logan was exhausted from the fight, he couldn't say he didn't like the mind-blowing thrill he got from it, but at a time, he honestly thought Daphne was trying to kill him.

He had already planned on using his complete werewolf form, but after seeing that she was only fighting against him with her full strength and not showing any signs of going for a fatal blow, he realized that she was only trying to put him under pressure.

The greater the pressure, the faster he would be able to grow. This was something he already knew about from exercising, so he didn't let it get to him.

With a training partner now, he felt he would be able to advance by leaps and bounds, especially given how Daphne was fighting against him.

Their training session continued for almost a week before their next mission came about. This time, a pack of werewolves was their target. This pack consisted of three betas who banded together to become a pack.

They were all Rank Two werewolves, and their strength was not something Logan could joke with.

The pack was passing through their town, and they tended to commit mass genocide whenever it was a full moon. This was currently the time, and even Logan had problems with keeping his emotions in check. These werewolves didn't even try to control their emotions, rather, they let them control them, doing whatever they thought was fun.

On a cold Friday night, Logan and Daphne were facing off against three werewolves who were out for blood. Even before the moon hit its peak, they were already in their werewolf form, and Logan was certain that if they didn't come out early enough, these werewolves would've started their killing spree already.

It was still around 9:24 p.m.

Growl…

The werewolves growled before charging at the duo.

Logan didn't dare to hold back and instantly took off his shirt before entering his werewolf form.

Daphne also used her full strength for this battle from the get-go. This was not something they could joke with, a little slip-up and they might be the ones these guys used to start off their killing for the night. According to what they knew, they had been able to kill off two groups who went after them. Although, all those who chased them were Rank Two werewolves or vampires.

Daphne faced off against two of them while Logan was fighting against one. In his werewolf form, his body grew well over two meters and he was actually larger than the other three werewolves.

Fighting against one of them, he used his full strength, biting, clawing, and doing everything he could to take down his opponent.

His opponent wasn't letting him get his way as well. They continued fighting in a brutal battle, with none of them getting the upper hand. Logan was a Rank lower, so the fact that he could go toe to toe with this werewolf showed how strong he was.

The glowing purple marks on his body always gave off a mythical aura that seemed to dampen the morale of his opponent. He didn't really understand why he had those marks.

The werewolves he had come in contact with didn't have even a single mark on their body, him on the other hand had multiple, and they even glowed as well.

Daphne was having a tough time fighting against two werewolves, but she was keeping herself alive which was a good thing.
