COLD NIGHT

Noah was still keeping his eyes closed as he didn't want to talk to Lia and get involved in another fight because he was angry at her. He was expecting to escape from the realm before night but now he has to stay back here for another day or maybe another week or another year. Oliver is not a fool so obviously he would be sending people to catch him and eventually would be sent to the cell.

His unwanted thoughts were interrupted when he heard feeble mumbles from beside him and he could easily realize it would be the cold. He was freezing himself even after wearing three pieces of fabric and on the other hand, she was wearing just a little piece of cloth barely covering her.

He turned to the side lazily to see her hugging onto her own knees trying to beat the cold. His eyes could not stay cold at her because she was a girl who is pregnant and moreover the Luna of the pack. It would not be manly of him to let her freeze there. He slowly moved to her with his golden coat which he didn't use and laid it on her gently trying to not wake her up.

She immediately grabbed the coat in her sleep and wrapped her around her chest and covering the exposed neck area. Her legs were still exposed to the cold air as she tapped it against each other aggressively. Noah just sighed and moved closer to her and the rest is history.

Lia woke up soon to be found, herself being pressed against something really soft and warm. A light breath hitting the top of her head and small snores which left rhythmically right next to her, a hands snaked around her petite figure. It didn't hurt her tummy at all as the person was being extra careful to give it a little push upwards. Lia slowly raised her head and looked at the sleeping figure next to her which made her heart miss multiple beats.

"Hmm?" She hummed not knowing why the boy moved to her but the coat which slipped off her skin, made her realize.

'Was he keeping me warm?' She thought to herself but didn't speak up because mostly he would respond with a pun or some stupid comments which would back fire.

Lia felt her heart fluttering a lot when his long eyelashes were on the exposure as the moon light hit his royal face. His sharp nose was standing out from other features and his lips parted a little giving her access to watch his teeth peeking in between. She unknowingly traced her fingers over his jawline softly trying to figure out how sharp it could be.

He looked totally manly and sharp but at the same time, he looked pretty and soft.... a face which no one else held in Flores. If this man is exposed to the human world, then they would snatch him away forever. He was like a treasure to her and not even two days passed since they met yet she felt they knew each other since an eternity.

"Stop staring." He mouthed still in the same position with eyes closed.

"Uh?" Lia shook her head feeling the embarrassment wash over her hearing his words.

"You really need to do something about this." Noah poked her baby bump with his pinky finger and chuckled like a kid.

"Like what?"

"Why don't you come along with me? We can go from this realm and live somewhere else happily with no rules to break."

"We?" Lia asked with a slight frown not understanding what the boy was actually meaning.

"Not like that. We can go out of here together then separate paths. I am sure, there would be something much better for me to do there." He scoffed pulling away from her.

"Stop." Lia quickly responded as she pulled the hem of his shirt with her freezing hands.

Noah looked at her and slowly his eyes followed her hands to the small crush in his shirt where her pale hands curled up as if she was not ready to let go off him. He understood that she was still freezing and needed his warmth but that is not right. She is a Luna and as an omega, he ought to keep his distance no matter what the situation calls for.

"I can't stay like this." He said trying to move further away.

"I am so cold." She muttered slowly as her teeth were clattering so loud.

"I can't help it too. Put on my coat and try to move inside where there is more warmth." He suggested.

"I am not going inside on my own."

Noah got up and helped her sit up gently to not even move the baby by an inch. The coat which he laid on her fell loose to the ground and he immediately picked it for her. Even though Lia hesitated about wearing it, she finally took it in her hands and helped her own self. Noah had nothing else to do to keep her warm and that is when the worst idea popped in his brain.

"I will be back soon." He mouthed as he ran out of the cave without waiting another second.

Lia was still waiting for the boy in the same position because the place was slowly getting warm due to the constant sitting for hours. She pulled her knees up to her torso and hugged his coat while her doe eyes were longing for him to come back. After few minutes, a massive shadow was spotted on the cave entrance making Lia move inside automatically trying her best to not make a voice.

It was not Noah but a wolf, an omega who came through all of a sudden. Lia was literally shocked to see another wolf carelessly walking into the forbidden cave. Lia scanned the animal and that she is when she noticed the animal biting onto few pieces of dress which apparently belonged to Noah.
