CHAPTER 3

I went outside my room to find Samantha, but I found myself at the door of Simon's room. I stand in front of his room.

should I knock it or not?

I don't think it is a good idea. He doesn't like me.....

Cecilia: ugh

I looked at the other side. There was a double-door room.

What is inside this room?

I took steps towards the double door and opened the door and my eyes got wide.

Cecilia: Oh my God!!

why didn't anyone told me there is a library.

look at these books Cecilia. I can spend my whole vacation here, reading these books.

haha haha

I was so much excited well it's not a giant library but there was plenty of books.

Cecilia: Come here, books love of my life...

My mouth was still open because of the happiness and I went near the bookshelf.

There was also a big couch and table in the middle of the room.

And then I notice someone sitting on the couch with a book in his hands and looking at me like I am a psycho or a crazy person and of course it has to be Simon, from all the people.

Cecilia: Oops.

umm..sorry..... it's just I am a little.... excited to see these books...

After a few seconds, he returns his gaze towards the book in his hands.

and I start looking at the books.

Cecilia: which one I should read first...

I keep talking to myself in a low voice

This one or this one...

oh no this one

I tried to reach the book which was on the top shelf and I'm so short...I stand on my toes but no luck...

I tried to get Simon's attention.

Cecilia: Cough..cough...

I looked at Simon but he keeps reading his book and didn't even look at me.

Cecilia: Cough.. cough.. cough.

Simon: What?

And finally, I got his attention but now he is looking at me. I'm getting self-conscious and I can't stop myself from looking at those eyes...

Cecilia: umm...

I took a long breath.

Cecilia: Well, thanks for asking. I need that book but the shelf is too high for me.

I give him my sweetest smile.

Simon: There is a table.

He points his slender finger towards the corner of the room and keeps reading his book.

Cecilia: Huh?

Simon: Use it to stand on it.

He said it without looking at me.

Cecilia: Ugh...

Why he can not just help me. Is it too much to ask?

Alright, I'm going to take this table here and stand on it.

I keep murmuring to myself.

I tried to lift the table, but...

Cecilia: It's so heavy.

I put all my strength on the table and it starts to move.

screech... screech...

Cecilia: Eww ... the table is making such an unpleasant sound...If it keeps going, there will be blood in my ears.

I keep talking to myself in low voice.

I can even notice that Simon is getting annoyed and his focus is now somewhere else because of the sound which this heavy table is making...

Cecilia: Well at least, he also gets disturbed. Well, it was his fault, right?

I grinned to myself.

Cecilia: wow, at least I made it and now I can get my book.

This book was all about ancient poems.

Simon: Can you even read it?

Cecilia: Huh?

It was Simon. I don't even know why he is now suddenly talking to me.

Simon: I mean these books are expensive, literature, ancient and you will never find these books somewhere else....can you even understand a word written on these books. These are not for a teenage kid like you.

It was the first time Simon even talked to me and it was rude. I felt hurt. His words are felt painful. He has an ego. He is so full of himself.

Cecilia: I...

Cecilia: I...I can understand every word written in this book. I had read plenty of books like this in my whole life.

Simon: That's good.

He gestures his hand towards the table.

Simon: Please, carry one.

After saying that he gets up from the couch and gets out of the library.

Cecilia: sigh...

I stood on the table and get the book from the shelf.

I guess I will read this book, but now my mind was a mess because of Simon.

I set on the couch and tried my best to read the book and soon I forgot about everything else.

After few hours.

With the help of this book, I can write something.

After a few more hours.

I lay on the couch and continue reading.

Sara: Cecilia!

You are here laying and reading. Everyone is looking for you. You didn't come down and it's already dinner time.

Cecilia: What!

It's Dinner time?

How long I have been here?

Sara: If you don't have your dinner. I will eat it as well.!

Cecilia: haha.no way I'm coming.

Sara: Then hurry up.

We both giggle and went downstairs.

Everyone was already present except Simon.

Samantha: Oh dear, where have you been?

Cecilia: umm..sorry...

Samantha: It's okay dear but you should get your meal properly.

Health is wealth, indeed

And Sara, don't play with your plate and eat this.

Sara: But I don't like broccoli.

Josh: I like broccoli but my stomach did not like it. I always got...

Samantha: For god sake, no one wants to hear it.

Josh: Haha. By the way, where is Simon?

Sara: He said he had some work to do.

He will be late.

Cecilia: Aliza, you should take a seat and eat with us.

There was silence for a few seconds.

Aliza: I. I had already eaten.

She offered me a small smile.

Samantha: Yeah, she always gets hungry.

Josh: So Cecilia dear, are you enjoying your stay.

Cecilia: Yeah...

Josh: Well, that's good.

After that, Everyone has their meal in silence while Aliza serving us and doing dishes and cleaning, and Samantha making small topics.

After the meal, everyone left for their rooms.

On my bed, I kept turning around. Later a few tries I fell into a dreamless sleep.
