SCURVY VS LIME

It was only a few days ago that the four crewmates had left Gecko Islands, picking up Ussop as their sniper.

It was a clear morning when Luffy had challenged Ussop to see if he could hit the piece of rock sticking out of the water, 100 or so meters away from them.

Ussop : " well then, let the great captain Ussop show you his might"

After he had said this, Ussop moved the canon around for a bit untill he was sure it would hit the target and lit the string.

when the fuse finally reached its end out came a canon ball and flew towards the rocky target.

BOOOM!!!

With his incredible marksmanship, Ussop hit the rock square in the middle and it collapsed into the ocean but not before a angry voice came right back at the duo.

??? : " who the hell did that!"

from the rock formation being blown to pieces a dust cloud was covering the figure or a boat and a man on it.

the boat came closer and it soon revealed that there was two men on the boat only one was looking really I'll, especially with that green skin of his.

soon the boat was close enough that the man that was still healthy could easily come up on board the going merry and that's exactly what he did.

Luffy : " hey, I'm sorry, we didn't kno-

he was cut of by the sudden attack from the man, swinging his sword at Luffy, aggressively.

??? : " this is what you het, pirate!"

Luffy was able to perceive every attack and movement this man was making, so he was able to dodge every swing from this man easily.

??? : " HA take this!"

Luffy ducked under the sword when this man made a horizontal swing to try and surprise Luffy.

to get the man under the ground our protagonist quickly went for a leg sweep and triped the guy over and kicked his sword away.

??? : " DAMN YOU, NO NAME PIRATE"

the loud disturbance made zoro aware to the situation when he woke up. he got up and walked to where the noise was coming from.

Zoro : " what are you-..wait, Johnny?"

Johnny looks up to Zoro standing just to the side of him.

Johnny : " zoro-aniki!! is it really you"

Zoro : " what are you doing here and where's Yosaku?"

Johnny lowers his head and starts to let a few years out, making the atmosphere more gloomy than it was just a few seconds ago.

he proceeds to explain how misfortune of him being attacked and how Yosaku is ill.

Nami walks over to Yosaku's body and checks what's wrong with him.

Nami : " he's got scurvy, Luffy go-

she turns to Luffy to ask him and get her some limes from the storage but he was already coming back with a box of them.

Nami : " you didn't even let me finish"

Luffy : " was I supposed to?"

Nami : ".....no...nevermind, just get some of that limes juice in his mouth"

Luffy does just and and with his immense strength, the limes in his hands where squished to a pulp.

Johnny : " are you sure that's going to work?"

Nami : " yeah, scurvy is caused when the body gets a lack of vitamin c but he should be fine since we got him time"

Johnny : " oh thank you so much, Ane-san!"

Nami : " but still you should really incorporate fruits in your daily diet so this doesn't happen again"

Luffy jolts up from Yosaku and starts smiling while he has his hand on top of his hat, on his head.

Luffy : " that's it, we need someone who can do that for us, we need a sea chef"

Everyone looked at Luffy because he had an actual good idea for once.

Zoro : " yeah we do need one"

(little does zoro know, but this sentence will come back to kick him in the ass later)

Johnny : " if you're looking for such a cook, then I know where you could go"

Nami : " really, where would that be"

Johnny : " it's pretty close to the grand line and it's where the man Anikis been hunting for is, hawk-eye"

This peaked Zoro's attention and so did everyone elses.

Johnny : " our destination is...THE BARATIE"

Luffy : " well then, let's get going"

2 DAYS LATER ~

it had been a few days since they meet Johnny and Yosaku but Luffy and Ussop quickly became friends with these two.

Yosaku was fully back to health by the time the crew finally arrived at the baratie.

just over the horizon, the crew could see the sea restaurant in all its glory but that wasn't the only thing they could see as to the right of them was a marine ship.

Fullbody : " I'm marine lieutenant, iron fist Fullbody. hey, who is your captain?"

Luffy : " that would be me, Monkey D Luffy"

Luffy pointed his thumb towards himself.

Fullbody looks around the ship and notices Johnny and Yosaku hiding behind a door.

Fullbody : " so it's you two, huh?. finally caught yourselves some pirates"

Johnny and Yosaku came out from hiding angered from this comment.

Johnny : " I'll show you what bounty hunters can do"

Johnny took out a stack of papers from inside his jacket and tried throwing them at Fullbody but the wind just blow them back on the deck where it landed Infront of Nami.

Moody : " come on, let's go"

out came a beautiful women in a rose dress to take him somewhere else and leave the pirates alone.

Fullbody turned his back on the pirates and walked with moody but he lifted his thumb to his neck before sliding it across to signal the other marines to sink the pirates.

the marines loaded the canon and aimed at the pirate ship.

BOOM!

there went the canon ball soaring through the sky, coming closer to the ship untill.....

SNATCH!!!!

the canon ball came to a complete stop.....in luffy's hand.

Luffy : " who told you that you could just start firing at MY SHIP!"

his sentence ended with a burst of conquerer's haki sent out towards the marines on the ship and the canon ball he was holding crumbling to pieces in his grasp.

Fullbody suddenly got weak in the knees and fell to the ground and so did every other marine on the ship, only moody was left standing.

Luffy had made sure to not hit moody and only used a weak amount of haki on everyone, only enough to leave them skating but not unconscious.

Luffy was angry because this ship was special to him, he lost it the first time but he won't lose it now, he promised he would protect everyone.

Luffy : " THAT'S IT WHAT WE NEED...IS A STRIPER"

USSOP : " YEAH!!"

JOHNNY : " YEAH!!"

YOSAKU : " YEAH!!"

ZORO : "..."

LUFFY : " SHE HAS A SWORD"

ZORO : " YEAH!!"

I KNOW IT TOOK ALOT LONGER AND I KNOW IT ISNT ANYTHING TO DO WITH SANJI YET BUT THIS IS JUST TO GIVE CONTEXT AND I ALSO POSTED THE SANJI CHAPTER SO CHECK IT OUT ALREADY.
