" I don't understand you my queen." Rizia said. Honestly,it's like the queen had been talking in puzzles today because she did not quite understand.

" You will understand someday Rizia." said Sophia. she didn't know how she was going to explain to her maid what she meant by that.

" Okay my queen. I will take you to my cousin tomorrow." she said and Sophia dismissed her.

Sophia went towards her dressing table and after ensuring the door to her chambers was closed,she stripped naked. The dragon mark appearing at her shoulder was now developing rapidly. Initially,it was the dragon head only appearing but now it was almost halfway done and one could tell that it was a dragon.

The mark was as black as Raphael's eye colour giving a beautiful contrast to her while Milky body.

Sophia knew that Raphael knew about the mark developing further. She could tell from the way he had stared at it at morning and how he later caressed it.

Sophia couldn't help but wonder why and how it seems to enlarge whenever she looks at it.

She could say with certainty that it started enlarging and becoming more clearer ever since they completely their mating bond.

" what does it mean by enlarging? does it mean that the redemption time is almost approaching?" she wondered out loud.

" I must get to know each and every detail about the prophecy. It doesn't matter what I have to do,I will have to do it. I can't watch Raph wallowing in pain and bitterness." she said. She had seen that even after sacrificing herself, Raphael embarked on a journey of revenge for the loss of his mate who was her. Sh couldn't let that happen.

She covered herself again and headed to the bathroom. She filled the bathtub with water and sprinkled rose petals. She could have let Rizia do this for her,but Sophia preferred doing some things by herself.

She stepped in the bathtub and relaxed. The warm water kissed her skin giving her a calming sensation coupled by the scent of roses, she drifted off to sleep.

Raphael came back from his throne Chambers expecting to find his queen waiting for him in bed. He had purposely left to let her calm down. He entered their matrimonial chambers and went straight to bed only to be met by silence.

On his way back,he had met Rizia heading home and she had informed him that the queen was still in their chamber.

" Sophia! Sophia!" He called her.

When she didn't answer,he walked to the bathroom. Maybe she was soaking herself something he knew she loved. He opened the bathroom door and peaked inside and behold,he was met by the picture of his mate,deep asleep in the bathtub.

He walked towards her, picked her up and wrapped her in a bathrobe and Carried her to the bed. He laid her comfortably and picked up the quilt and covered her.

" why are you so careless? you could have caught up a cold. Thank God I arrived before the water went completely cold." he berated but no one heard him. he could only sigh helplessly.

slipping inside the blanket, Raphael hugged her to sleep. His troubled heart could only rest when he sniffs her scent. Hopefully tomorrow she can open up to him and tell him what's wrong.

Damien went Bach to his house. If there was something he dreaded were nights. It was during the night when the spirit of his wife and daughter would come haunting him. When he closed his eyes,he would hear the sound of his wife crying in pain asking for his help. A loud shriek blocks off the screams and the picture of his wife and daughter lying lifelessly on the ground is displayed.

He remembers that day clearly like it was yesterday despite many years passing by. He was tricked by a witch whom he considered his best friend.

Back then,he and Saul were best of buddies. They would hang out together,go hunting and drinking together. On that fateful night,Saul was manipulated by the queen of the witches with the help of Lucifer. He was forced to add poison to the drink he served Damien. That poison was not meant to kill Damien but it would make him weak, weaker than a human.

When he arrived home and the poison had kicked in, his house was attacked by witches lead by the witch queen.

Queen Amber was known as the most ruthless queen of the witches that ever existed. She believed on getting whatever it is that she wanted. For a long time,she was attracted to Damien and wanted to possess him at any cost. Damien had shooed her away because he was a married man. He continued to escape her clutches until she grew resentful of his wife Grace. She started plotting to kill her inorder to remove any obstacle between the two of them. Amber knew she stood no chance to harm Damien's wife as long as Damien was there. Even though she was a witch,a powerful one at that,and could wield magic,she knew she stood no chance to defeat Damien and get to his wife.

Lucifer being the root of all evil,proposed to help her as long as she surrenders to him. He was the father of manipulation and successfully manipulated Saul to poison Damien.

That day,his wife and young daughter were slaughtered like animals after he was sent unconscious by a single blow from the witch.

After he woke up,he discovered that Saul had committed suicide after learning what he had done. He left behind a note," I am sorry if I hurt you,I know that sorry cannot change anything. I hope when we see each other again,you can find it in your heart to forgive me."

Damien was sad for loosing a friend and his family. He went on a rampage and invaded the witches kingdom. He slaughtered many witches and stopped after killing amber in the most cruel way.

He swore that he would let the devil himself have a taste of what he felt since if it was not for his manipulation, maybe Saul and his family would be alive.
