Before going home, Lay decided to go shopping, while Andy said he would meet a friend, so they had already parted ways.

Inside the mall, Lay just looked around; he doesn't know what exactly to buy yet. Later on, he went inside a luxury men's boutique. He spent $5,000 on five different formal suits, which cost $1,000 each.

He saw a luxury jewelry shop and remembered Fiona, so he went inside and chose to buy $20,000 worth of a silver necklace with a diamond pendant.

"Your girlfriend will surely love it, sir," the sales lady said, but she's been giving Lay a flirty look and action since he entered the shop.

"I don't have a girlfriend!" Lay immediately replied, which just seemed to have made the girl smile even more sweetly and seduce him with her gray phoenix eyes.

"Well, what do you think of me, sir? Am I beautiful?" She even bit her lower lip.

"Yes!" He honestly replied, but his tone was very cold.

"Really, sir?" She was about to grasp Lay's arm when someone caught her arm and pulled her away from Lay.

"Bitch!" The girl who just arrived yelled at the sales lady. It was Fiona.

The saleswoman looked very shocked and angry. "Who the hell are you?" She yelled back.

"Miss, that necklace was for her. Please give the necklace to the cashier so that I can pay it already," Lay seriously said, which made both the girls look surprised.

"Oh!?" The sales lady faked a smile at Fiona and shifted her gaze towards Lay. "Is she your little sister?"

"You took too much. Just do your job!" Lay coldly replied.

The sales lady just sighed and faked a smile again. They went to the cashier immediately. "Is the necklace really for me?" Fiona curiously asked.

"Of course!" Lay' sweetly smiled. "I was about to visit you and your Mom the next day, but you're already here and accidentally know it. What are you doing here anyway?"

The man just doesn't know how happy Fiona is right now; she almost wants to cry. "Are you okay?" Lay asked upon seeing her staring at him blankly with teary eyes.

"Oh! Yeah! I'm fine. I just came here to buy some groceries, and then I saw you entering here; that's why I came." She smiled.

"Oh! I see!"

"Are you sure that you're going to buy that necklace for me? It was too expensive!" She asked again upon noticing the price.

"Naah. This is my first gift for you anyway. Stop thinking much now!" He replied.

She just smiled. Actually, it wasn't his first, but his second. The first gift he had given her was a golden ring that was now on her left middle finger.

That ring was owned by Lay's Mom, but he gave it to her when they were just kids. That time was Fiona's 6th birthday, and her mother lost her inside the mall.

"Are you lost? Don't cry. My dad will help you find your mother. Okay?" Lay just appeared that time in front of her like he was her guardian angel. However, she still kept on crying until Lay gave her a ring, which, in her eyes, was the most beautiful thing in the world at the time and even today.

That had started their friendship, and they became even closer when they studied at the same school in first grade until now that they're already in college.

Fiona smiled, remembering that she couldn't even wear it that time because her fingers were still very small. However, Lay was involved in a car accident when he was 8 years old, which caused him to have amnesia. That's why she totally understands if he still can't remember all the things before the accident.

After Lay paid for the necklace, Fiona's eyes were dazzling with joy. Actually, she was imagining that Lay would sweetly put it on her neck, but unfortunately, he just casually gave her the box.

"Thank you!" Fiona said.

"You're always welcome." Lay smiled.

While staring at his face, Fiona just noticed another small change. His smile is obviously not as sweet as before, and the way he speaks is not as jolly as before either.

Fiona knows him from head to toe more than anyone else, so she can even notice those little changes.

"You said you are about to buy some groceries? I will accompany you then," he said.

"Hmm!" She nodded, and they eventually went out of the shop. "It looks like you have bought a lot of things already," she said while looking at the paper bags he's been holding since a while ago.

"Not much! By the way, let's have dinner after we buy the groceries."

Lay finally arrived home. He sat down on the couch, feeling a little tired. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes when, suddenly, someone came inside his apartment.

Even if he won't open his eyes, he knows that it was Andy who came in, who also already feels at home in his apartment. Besides, the sweet vanilla scent of the perfume he always uses just suddenly entered Lay's nose.

"Bro, did you bring some food?" He asked, sat down beside him, and immediately opened his laptop that he brought.

"No!" was Lay's short reply.

"You looked so tired. How many ladies clung to your shoulders today? Huh?" Andy laughed upon teasing his friend.

"Silly!" Another cold, one-word reply from him.

"It's already 8:30 p.m.; aren't we moving to your new house tomorrow? You better pack up everything already." Hearing it, Lay finally opened his eyes and looked at his friend, who is currently busy on his laptop.

"You're right. I almost forgot about that." He rubbed his nape. "You didn't have dinner yet?" He asked.

"You didn't text me that you'd eat outside. I thought you were just going to bring some food," the man replied.

"Oh! I'm with Fiona lately. We coincidentally went to the same mall, so I helped her buy some groceries. I thought you had dinner outside with your friend?"

"He's in a hurry, so I just came home right after we finished our quick matter. By the way—" He gave Lay a meaningful glance. "Yeeeih! You've been with Fiona lately?"

"Tss! What's with that look? She's already like my little sister!" Lay immediately replied.

However, Andy burst out laughing. "You two were very compatible anyway!" He kept on teasing him.

"Stop pissing me off!" He stood up. "I still need to pack up, so I can't cook. I'll just order some food; what do you want for dinner?"

Within four years, the two were already like real brothers who have each other's back.

Lay is actually good at cooking. On the other hand, Andy doesn't know how to cook, so all the time, he just orders cooked food outside for every meal. Fate brought them together four years ago.

Lay is always short of money, so they decided that Andy would buy groceries for them both and Lay would cook for him.

Food outside is a lot more expensive than buying raw goods for them both, so Andy is not losing anything anyway. Besides, Lay's cooking is undeniably more delicious than those he orders outside. He just hit the jackpot and has an instant chef.

"Just pasta and pizza!" Andy immediately replied.

"Okay. Just wait for it then." Lay had already gone to his room, sat in his bed, and ordered food online.

Before paying online too, he saw that the balance of his bank account was just $105, so he decided to spend it all and add some more foods and drinks.

Right then, a metallic voice immediately sounded in his head.

"Perfect!" He heard the woman's voice again. "The system has given you 10 million dollars for level 2. Spend the 5 million dollars for yourself and the other 5 Million dollars for women within 7 days. Failure to follow the rules and failure to spend all the money within 7 days will make you dead."

"Spend the 5 million dollars for women? What do you mean?" Lay was a bit shocked and confused about the level 2 rules.
