New Beginning

"It's all my fault," Damon says that with a voice full of guilt and bitterness.

"Your fault? What are you talking about?" Justine asks him wondering.

" I caused my own family death. " Damon explains

" How? Did you launch the missile yourself? " Justine says teasing him, trying to alleviate his pain.

" If I hadn't hidden my powers all this time, they could have been well and alive right now- " Damon explains while depressed, dismissing her joke.

"The representatives from the US has been getting low combat ranking recently-"

"The US has been less threatening in the last few years, one of their enemies must have taken this chance to strike the US during its weak time."

"If I had shown my true powers earlier, none of this would have happened" Damon continues explaining as Justine listens to him carefully.

Justine didn't like Damon acting weak in front of her so she stood up crossing her arms and said harshly,

"You aren't going to let whoever did this go like this, are you?"

Damon smirks back at her and says with a serious tone and a murderous smile on his face,

"You gotta be joking, I won't calm down till I kill whoever was behind this."

Justine slaps him on the back and says with a proud smile on her face,

"That is the spirit!"

"So what is your first step towards achieving that?" Justine asks him curiously.

"All I can do for now is to climb as fast as I can, in the ranking-"

"to return the US's prestige and prevent further strikes from this unknown enemy-"

"Meanwhile, the authorities are investigating the person or the organization behind this strike-"

"As soon as the truth is revealed, I will make my move right away" Damon explains what he is going to do from now on.

Justine was lovestruck as she was listening to Damon's plan she was amazed by how detailed he was.

"I cannot wait till you get your revenge…" Justine says while smiling at Damon.

Damon was disturbed by Justine's look, she was spouting something so cruel while putting a sweet smile on her face, she almost seemed like a psycho.

"W-who should I challenge first?" Damon asks her nervously, trying to change the subject and wash away that creepy expression off her face.

"Hmm... Who would be devoured first?" Justine says that as she puts her finger on her mouth as if she is choosing a cake to buy.

"AH, right what about Morika from your class, he should be a perfect as a first prey" Justine suggests.

"I agree…" Damon replies as he grins.
