Cruel Farewell

When some individuals with superpowers emerged throughout the whole world, the normal people around them reacted differently towards those individuals; they were divided into two groups.

A group of people believed that those superpower users will harm people around them and they will eventually bring about the extinction of humanity, this group of people wanted to get rid of those power users.

Another group of people thought of them as celebrities with superpowers, they would support them and even use them in advertising of different products on media.

A Card game was even made featuring some of those power users, only the popular of them.

Damon's little sister used to play this card game with her friends in grade school, but she was disappointed because her brother didn't have a card featuring him since he wasn't popular.

Justine knew that the purpose of their trip was to calm those protesting citizens who think that their marriage is fake, but she felt bad because she didn't have a chance to talk with Damon's mother.

They had to commute from a state to state and campaign in front of the protestors to show them that they are real couples.

Damon would just hold her with interlocked fingers and raise it to show the protestors, or he would wrap his arms around Justine's shoulder and pull her closer to him in order to show the protestors how loving they are.

This took them around 5 days to visit every state and persuade all protestors, but as soon as they were done the school called for them to come back because they will be having exams soon.

Damon and Justine were sitting beside each other on the back seat of the car that was taking them back to the airport.

While they were on the road Justine asks Damon casually,

"Didn't you promise your little sister to spend some time with her"

As Damon was looking at the trees on the side of the road through the window of the car he says,

"It can't be helped; I will lose my ranking if I miss this exam, you also will be affected if you miss it"

Even though Damon came up with a reasonable excuse for going back to the school, she knew that he actually didn't mean what he said, she felt a little disappointment in his tone.

As soon as they reached the airport, Damon's mother and his little sister were waiting for us outside, his mother was holding a bag.

His little sister was crying her eyes out, Damon walks towards her and apologizes saying,

"I am sorry your brother couldn't keep his promise-",

"We were too busy we couldn't come back any sooner-",

"But we have to go back to school because we have exams, you wouldn't want your brother to fail his exam would you?"

After he could persuade her, she wiped her own tears and reach her pocket to grab a piece of paper then she gave it to her big brother.

"What is that? " Damon asks his sister.

"It's a card featuring you, I drew it myself, I will use it against my friends to beat all other cards since big brother is the strongest"

Even though her drawing hardly resembles Damon, he smiles at her warmly and pats her head saying,

"of course your brother is the strongest"

Damon's little sister walks toward justice and extends her tiny little hands giving her another piece of paper saying,

"here is another one featuring you, so that you don't get jealous"

Even though she acted a little bit cheeky towards Justine she still accepted it gratefully.

Just when they were about to go into the airport Damon's mother hands over a bag to Justine and tells her,

" I packed some food for your trip back, they are all Damon's favorites "

When Justine was about to take over the bag, Damon lashes at his dropping the food on the road and says angrily,

"Why do you care now?"

"Don't start acting like a mother just because you are in front of Justine"

After saying that he takes a hold of Justine's hand and drags her forcibly behind him into the airport.

Once again Damon didn't turn back to look at them as they were leaving, while Justine was looking at them, his mother cried a bit but she kept waving at us regardless till Justine couldn't see her anymore.
