Yu Jingchen didn't answer but instead grabbed a bottle of red wine and another glass, pouring himself a drink.
An Ning watched his movements, her nose wrinkling slightly. "Don't drink yet, talk to me first."
"We'll talk while we drink," Yu Jingchen said as he handed her the filled glass, skillfully delaying this difficult-to-answer question.
After all, he had a clear conscience.
An Ning had no choice but to take it.
Yu Jingchen poured himself another glass and then set the bottle of red wine on the bedside table.
He raised his glass to An Ning in a gesture.
Though An Ning had complaints in her heart, she still clinked glasses with him.
Then she took a small sip.
"How does it taste?" Yu Jingchen asked.
"Not bad, quite mellow," An Ning said after swallowing the wine and savoring it.
"If it's good, then drink more," he said with a smile.
An Ning looked straight at Yu Jingchen.
"Hmm?" Yu Jingchen blinked. "What's the matter?"
