CHAPTER 40

NORA

Nora lays cuddled up in bed with Spence, it's their third month together already yet they act as if they met just few days ago. After four rounds overnight, Nora has decided to stay in bed all day so Spence can give her a treat all through the weekend. Nora's life has transformed in the space of three months from the innocent corporate lady that she is to a sexy nymphomaniac. She finds it hard to concentrate at work anytime Spence is in town because she gets in the mood at the mention of his arrival and wants to get laid immediately. Spence's inconsistency in town has been her saving grace, his absence is the only way she finds her work balance. Nora insists Spence moves to town but he insisted that he needed to finish the renovation of his parent's house which has been

extremely slow because of his inconsistency at the site which Nora was practically the cause of. He promised to speed up every necessary

construction that needed to be done so he can

move back to town and Nora could also come over to spend some time at his place. Nora agrees with him, but insisted that he promises to be available for her pleasure at least thrice a week, Spence exclaims, he promised to always come over for the weekend so they could have three days to themselves and stop by once in a while during the week whenever he is free at work or isn't busy at the site.

Time is so fast that everyone has moved on with her life, Nora misses when her four friends were around in town. Susan moved to the States with her husband immediately after her wedding which caught them all by surprise because she told them she hadn't decided meanwhile the plan was in place. Chichi has also traveled to Spain to head the marketing unit of the newly launched branch of her company which is good news and a great win for her dear friend, maybe the new environment would heal her wounded heart. Tade on the other hand is in town but she is totally drained from the divorce process, her scumbag of a husband has been making life unbearable for her, refusing to sign the divorce papers and refusing to appear in court. Tade shuffles between her lawyer's office and her parent's home, she barely stays at her place or her boutique. The only way they all catch up and talk is on the phone, which time difference most times affects, so Nora has no other companion than her work and Spence. If there is anything to be extremely glad about, it is her lover, Nora can't imagine how depressed she would have been without him because everyone is engaged

with someone or something in their lives.

Meanwhile, Susan never fails to flaunt her happy

home to them at every given opportunity, she would have died of depression if she doesn't have someone in her life to boast of as well.

Spence kisses her on her nose as he asks "lost in

thought again?"

"not at all, just thinking of how far we have gone and how grateful to God I am to have you in my life" Nora confesses, Spence loves everything about Nora but the most he appreciates the most is that she doesn't hide her feelings, she pours out her mind boldly to him and also appreciates him so much that she makes him feels so special than he is. "well I miss my friends, the last time we all were together was Susan's wedding and that's more than two months already" Nora explains to Spence who understands their closeness and what the sharp disconnection could cause in each of their hearts "hey! Why don't you catch up with Tade tomorrow? And call Susan and Chichi on the phone. I know it won't be like they are around, but it will renew whatever you girls have" Nora smiles at his suggestion "you know why I love you?" Spence answers curiously "why?" Nora teases him "Cause you have a good head, and they say two good heads are better than one" Spence rolls on Nora playfully and makes some funny noise on her belly while Nora giggles like a child "now you are going to make me famished" she complains to Spence who immediately jumps to his feet "off to the kitchen I go to make your breakfast mademoiselle! Just stay in bed let me serve you" Nora looks at him as he walks out of the bedroom with her eyes full of love, she mutters "I don't regret ever meeting you" "I heard that" Spence calls out loud from the lobby.
