A Beautiful Gift

In the evening, Xio went to the market and roam around the stalls. The market was crowded, every stalls were occupied.

" It look likes festive season is coming" Xio thought.

Xio was just wandering to the stalls, suddenly her eyes fell on a beautiful Jade with a heart shaped feather. That Jade was simple but attractive and beautiful. She took a look at it, it was not that much costly, she bought it.

Then she bought some snacks for lil Hue and some groceries.

As she walked towards her home, suddenly a cart running towards her, she dodge to save herself, all the things that she bought fell on the ground.

" Don't you have eyes or don't you know how to drive...go to hell" Xio shouted in anger.

An old lady came to help her, she collected things and help Xio to stand up. Xio suddenly remembered the gift, she looked at it...' thank God it's fine ' said Xio in relief.

" Child..are you okay?, did we have to go to hospital for check-up" old lady said worriedly.

" Grandma..I am fine just a little pain and thank you for helping me " Xio said while smiling.

" Its already my child " old lady said with a sigh then her eyes fell on the jade Xio was holding.

" You know Child...what the meaning of jade?" old lady asked.

" Yeah it's the symbol of purity " Xio said gleemingly.

" You are right...but it's also the symbol of love, respect towards your loved one....it's the sense of security towards your partner"

' By gifting it to your lover means you loved that person the most, you care for him, your respect towards him.....I must say you have a good eye.' said old lady with happiness.

" Thank you so much for telling me the worth of it" said Xio.

" Can you able to go to your home?" asked old lady.

" Yeah... grandma and again thank you so much" said Xio.

" It's alright my child...take care for yourself, I am going" said old lady while walking in the opposite direction.

" That jerk...if he slow down the speed, I will beat him and treat his eyes" Xio scolded.

AT HOME

" What happened to you Xio" said mum worriedly as Xio entered.

' I am okay mum, I fell on the ground....no worry' said Xio.

" Tell me the truth " asked mum.

" A jerk was driving the cart like the road was made by and for him and for saving myself I dodge and fell on the ground " complained Xio.

' Oh my God...are you okay? Can we have to go to hospital or I call the doctor here?' said mum worriedly.

" No no...mum I am okay just a little pain and I will be alright by tomorrow after resting some time" Xio assured.

" By the way, what you bought for the Prince?" asked mum.

" See...." said Xio.

" Wooow....it's a beautiful gift...he will definitely like it...symbol of love....he will like it" mum appreciated Xio.

" Yeah mum...a grandma also said this....she helped me when I fell" said Xio.

" Go...freshen up and change I will make something good for you and also take some medicine...do you remember you have to go to the Palace tomorrow??" asked mum.

" Yeah mum... I remember" Xio said while walking towards her room.

Xio took off her clothes and watched herself in the mirror. Her body was achings due to wounds. Blood was also flowing...she rushed to the washroom and washed the wound...it's really painful.

After sometime, she came out from washroom rapped from towel, stood in front the mirror and seeing her wound and release a heavy sighed.

" Be prepare for tomorrow Xio " she said to herself.

Mum entered the room after she wore clothes.

Mum applied medicine to her wounds while Xio was eating.

" Dear...be respectful towards elder, don't overreact and be careful tomorrow".

" Don't worry mum...I will take care of everything " Xio assured mum.

'These are some snacks for Hue..I forgot to give'.

" Rest early as you have to go tomorrow and first take this medicine" said mum.

After taking medicine, Xio gone to the bed as her mother dim the lights.

As her mother was going, Xio hold her hand and asked, " Mum when did festive season starts?"

" It will starts soon dear, now close your eyes and sleep early...if you don't want dark circles under your eyes" said mum and both of them laughed at the same time.

Mum gave a peck on her cheeks and moved outside the room.
