Not in his body

“Your healing takes time, look at your body lying down there” Vampire pointed to one of the rooms and Alex walk slowly into the room. His mouth hang open with surprise as he saw his body lying on the bed with so many burns.

He looked at himself, from his hands down to his legs, he rushed to the glass window to look at his face.

“What!” he looked at himself again and then back to the one lying on the bed. He rushed out to Vampire, seized him by his shirt collar, and shakes him vigorously.

“What have you done to me?, answer me!, why is it that Sandra and Clara can’t see me even when I’m standing in front of them.

I even yell at them but they can’t hear me, what did you do to me?”

Vampire’s men wanted to manhandle Alex but he stopped them. “Leave him alone” and they stepped aside watching him as he shakes him and then started to cry.

Vampire held him up and ask him to sit.

“Look, I could have left you to die in that acid, but Mr. Lincoln would have won, he wasn’t crown the head of the clan at the announcement of your death because I sent word that you are still alive and that they give me time.

“We are doing our best to keep this a secret but you are not helping at all. Listen, boy, only a few people know that you are still alive.”

“Okay, so why am I not in my body?”

“Because I didn’t want you to sleep for that long, you can move around and live freely here, we will see you and you will see us but the outside world can not see you. So the early you stop going to see Sandra and your sister the better for you because they will not see you or hear you until I put you back into your body.”

Vampire explain to him while he listened without interruption.

“So do you understand now?” he ask Alex who was just staring at him like a moron.

But then he spoke. “So I have to wait here for a hundred years before going back? there will be no reason to go back” he said so sadly.

“Is hundred days Alex, not years” he jacked up from his sitting position?

“Really?, thanks” he wanted to hug Vampire but looked at the scary men standing around them and sits right back.

Now he is relieved, hundred days is a fair deal, he can’t wait for those days to come to an end, he went to his room and starts keeping the record.

Alex keeps going into the room where his body was lying to see if there is any progress. Vampire will always turn to look at him and then look away without saying anything to him.

“How did he manage to bring me out of that pool?” Alex ask himself but was afraid Vampire will get angry if he keeps asking him too many questions.

While Alex eagerly waits for his body to heal, he will go to his house and stand afar off watching to see if anyone will go in or come out.

He did that severally but no one came in or go out.

And then, he will go to Zack's place and watch as Sandra comes in and go out, sometimes with Clara and sometimes with Zack.
