"When you found her?" asked Javin carefully. "Melanie?"
Forth looked at Javin, hesitated for a moment, then sighed. Forth was determined not to hide the slightest fact from Javin this time, even if it was very embarrassing and painful. He wants to win back Javin's heart completely.
"Yes. I found Melanie five years ago, a few months before you left," Forth answered quietly.
