Why Do You Love me?

*Liah's POV

We are now standing in a line for a roller-coaster ticket since he wanted to try that first. He was back hugging me while resting his head on my shoulder. I tried to remove myself from his grip, but it was not possible. So I let him be. When we finally reached the ticketer, she smiled at us.

"Two tickets for the roller-coaster, please," I said politely.

"Sure, that will be 10.50," she replied, smiling warmly.

I turned to David and asked, "Do you have cash with you?" he shook his head and removed his hand to get his wallet. he then handed me one of his black cards. "Don't you have a normal credit card?" I was a little embarrassed.

"Nope," he responded. I gave the card to the ticketer, and she looked unbothered. She then passed me the poss machine to enter the password. I gave it to him, but instead, he said, "It's your birthday, princess,"

"No, it's not," I replied, making him giggle.

"I meant the passcode," I was so embarrassed that I was now praying for the earth to swallow me. The ticketer chuckled along with David. "9300" whispered to me. I typed the code and gave it to her. She gave me the card along with the ticket.

"You look great together," she finally said.

"Thank you," David smiled at her. I also smiled at her, and David finally released me from the hug and gave me his hand for support, which I accepted. As we approached the ride, he seemed kinda worried.

"Are you afraid of heights?" I asked.

"No, but I don't think it's safe for you, princess," he said, glancing at it.

"Stop being dramatic, David. This is not my first time. Plus, look at the kids. They are enjoying it," I explained. He sighed loudly.

"Fine, but don't leave my hand, okay?" he warned. I rolled my eyes at him. "Princess," he glared at me.

"Fine! Let's go now," I said, annoyed. He put me on the chair and tied the belt like I'm a child. All eyes were on us, which was making me uncomfortable. "David, you can stop now," he nodded and sat on his seat.

"You are really lucky, honey. This kind of love only exists in good Romantic movies," the lady in the front seat spoke. 'This exists in horror movies,' I said in my mind, remembering how he hurt me. "Don't lose this gentleman," she finally said before the ride began. I was trying my best to enjoy this moment, not thinking about things that happened to me. Everyone was shouting due to fear, so I decided to join them. I spread my arms and shouted until I couldn't hear the voice inside me. I could feel David's gaze on me, but I didn't care. I shouted as loud as I wanted because I knew this was the last time I got to be this loud.

After ten minutes, the ride was over, and we rested on the grass. He brought a picnic mat, and we sat there.

"Guess I'm not the only one who can make you scream," he said with a smug on his face.

"I want Ice-cream," I changed the subject.

"What flavor?"

"All of it,"

"I'll be back," he left. I sighed in relief. Just then, a couple came towards me holding a beautiful child.

"Excuse me, can you hold our daughter for a moment? It's our anniversary and we wanted to eat lunch together," the lady spoke nicely.

"Sure, come here, honey," I spread my arms for the little girl, and she ran to me.

"Thank God she liked you," her mom sighed.

"Don't be late, Mommy," she warned cutely. I kissed her head.

"Does she have any allergies?" I asked.

"You don't have to buy her anything," it was her dad.

"I insist,"

"She is allergic to mango and strawberry," he finally gave up. "Here, this is her phone. It doesn't have any password, so you can call us anytime you want," he said as he handed me her mobile. he then bent down to her level and said, "Be a good girl and don't bother aunt, okay?" she nodded.

"We will be quick," her mom spoke.

"Don't worry, take your time. Happy anniversary," I smiled at them.

"Thanks," they said before leaving.

"What is your name, beautiful?" I asked her.

"Emma, what about yours?" she responded.

"Liah," I replied, shaking her hand. That's when David came holding a bunch of ice creams. He frowned his brows when he saw Emma. "Today is her parent's anniversary. They left her with me," I explained.

"Do you know them?"

"No, but they gave me this phone they will call when they arrive," he nodded.

"I can go if I bother you," Emma pouted. He sat on the mat, shaking his head in disagreement.

"You don't bother me, honey. I'm David, by the way," he gave her his hand, and she took it gladly.

"I'm Emma," she smiled.

"How old are you, Emma?" he asked her, giving me the one ice cream.

"Seven. Why did you buy so many ice creams?" she asked, looking at the different flavored ice creams.

"This lady was craving ice cream, and she didn't know which flavor she wanted," he explained, pinching my cheeks. I slapped his hand and rubbed my cheeks.

"Can I have one?" she asked me with her puppy eyes.

"Sure, here," I gave her the vanilla and chocolate flavor.

"Can I have one?" David asked, earning a death glare from me. "Why?" he whined.

"You had flu. That's why," I didn't move my eyes from my ice cream.

"You know, sometimes I just want to be food, so you could focus on me," he complained, putting Emma on his lap.

"Shut up,"

"You look good together," Emma said, making me choke.

"See Liah, she is the second person to say that today. You are correct, honey," he kissed her head.

"I need to go to the restroom," I said, putting my cup beside me.

"Me too," Emma got up from his lap.

"Let me take you there," he also got up and carried Emma. He then put his arm around my waist as a support, and we went to the restroom. There were no people in the toilet since there were few people in the park.

"Can you hold this for me," Emma handed me her phone. a bright idea came into my mind, making me smile widely.

"Sure, love," I took her phone, and she went inside. I quickly opened it and dialed Mark's number. After a few rings, he picked up.

*O.T.P

"Mark," I said excitedly.

"Mark is busy, May I know who this is?" it was a girl. My heart shattered into a million pieces.

"Is he at his office?" I asked, hoping that what I'm thinking is wrong.

"No, we're at his house," tears started to flow from my eyes. "Who are you?" she asked again.

"No one," I hung up and wiped my tears with my sleeve. I was about to call Sarah when I heard a knock on the restroom.

"Princess, is everything okay?" it was David.

"Yeah," I replied and deleted the number quickly. Emma also came out of the toilet. I gave her the phone back and washed her hand. After that, we went out.

"What happened to your eyes?" he asked me.

"My lashes got inside my eye," I lied.

"I'm sleepy," Emma yawned. He carried her in his arms and turned his face to me.

"What should we do?" He questioned, not knowing what he should do. I chuckled at him.

"There is a place where kids rest," I said, leading him the way. Emma was asleep when we got there. He then placed her gently on the bed and turned to me

"Isn't she cute," he glanced at her. I nodded in agreement. "I want to have kids," he complained. I smiled at him. He then grabbed me by my waist and put me on the cabinet. He stared at me intensely.

"Why do you love me?" I asked randomly.

"What do you mean?" he was confused.

"There are a lot of girls who are better than me," I explained.

"You are limited edition," he said, pecking my cheek.

"Be serious," I glared at him.

"Do I need a reason to love you?" I nodded. "I don't need a reason to love you, Liah. If I love you for a reason, it means I love that reason, not you. Besides, everything changes over time. What if you are not the same person anymore? Do you want me to hate you? That is never going to happen. I loved you, I love you, and I will always love you. Even if you don't love me back, even if you want to kill me, even if you hate me," he said firmly. I was stunned by his speech. I wish Mark was the one who said these things to me. But he has forgotten about me. I looked into his eyes and leaned forward. I slowly approached his lips and connected my lips to his. I wrapped my hands around his neck to deepen the kiss. He was too shocked to respond to my kiss. I finally removed myself from him, which brought him back to reality. "Why?" he asked.

"I don't know," I replied before kissing him again. This time, he responded. He placed his hands around my waist, pulling me completely onto him. My lips were moving in sync with him. He pushed his tongue inside asking for entrance, which I gave him. He moaned as he tested my whole mouth. His hands traveled all over my back and put them inside my hoodie. I shivered due to its coldness. We stopped our make-out session when Emma's phone started ringing.

"Leave it," he said, leaning in to kiss me. I pushed him slightly.

"It's her parents," he groaned and took the phone from the cabinet. I picked it up.

*O.T.P

"Hello," it was her dad.

"Hey," I replied.

"We're here. Where are you guys?"

"We are in the sleeping room," I said, trying not to make any sound since David was sucking my neck.

"Five seconds," he hung up. David finally quit what he was doing and looked into my eyes.

"Let's finish this at home," he said giving me a peck on my cheek before putting me down. The couple arrived just then and smiled at us.

"I hope she didn't bother you," her mom said as her dad picks her up from the bed.

"She was a sweetheart. She didn't have anything that bothers anyone. You guys are lucky," I replied. David was just staring at me.

"Thank you so much for taking care of my Emma," her dad said carrying her sleeping figure in his arms.

"It was our pleasure. Happy anniversary by the way," I smiled.

"Thanks, good night," it was her mom.

"Good night," and they left. I turned to David and he was staring at me lovingly. "Shall we?" I said pointing at the door. He nodded and held my hand.

"You know, you just made me happy," he smiled.

"Let's go," I said pulling him outside. It was getting dark so all the lights in the park were lit giving it the most beautiful view it ever had.

"Do you want to stay?" he asked. I shook my head and we went to the front gate. As we were going, the waitress from before came to us running. She then gave David a piece of paper and left right away. He unfolds the paper and frowned upon reading what was written on it. "She really wants to die," he gritted his teeth in anger.

"What does it say?" I questioned trying to sneak a peek at the paper. He didn't say anything but kept glaring at the person behind me. I was about to turn to take a glimpse of who he was glaring at but he cupped my cheek and pulled me into a passionate kiss. He then raised my left hand. After a few moments, he pulled out. "What was that for?" I was confused.

"I didn't make it clear enough that I belong to you," he responded caressing my cheeks. I nodded and turned to see the waitress rolling her eyes at me. I then held his hand and we finally left the park.
