Chapter 71

The next day, Alex got up resolutely. He wasn't going to lie there crying and waiting for Camilla to come back to him. If he wanted her, he needed to do something about it. So he woke up, took a shower, went to the gym, took another shower, and went downstairs for breakfast before going to work.

Mrs Hill was astonished to see such a change. Alex walked with his head down, his beard scruffy, his hair disheveled. Even worse after Brigitte talked to him and he was in doubt. But after the tests, he had the moment to feel like the worst person in the world and that he had lost everything. However, he knew his son was there, and as much as Camilla didn't want him anymore, he would still fight for the baby.

"Good morning, Isadora!" He greeted her and sat down at the table. She, more than quickly, put a lot of food in front of him. Alex had lost weight. He was still stronger than most men, though, not nearly where he used to be.
