Chapter 15

Claire walked into the apartment, clearly drunk. She looked at Alex and smiled at him, so she looked like she wanted to be sexy, but due to her inebriated state, it was totally weird, like she was having a stroke or something.

She ignored Camilla's presence, sitting at the kitchen counter, and went straight to Alex, who was gripping the ice cream scoop so tightly his knuckles were white. His jaw worked, as if he was controlling himself.

"Sweetheart, you look hotter than ever." Claire said, running her hand over Alex's chest. He took her hand and pulled her away from him, but she didn't seem to notice, or care.

"Why are you here?" he asked, his tone so cold that even Camilla felt a chill run down her spine. Claire's smile faltered a little, but she quickly recovered.

"I live here, silly!" She said, approaching him again.

"You don't live here. Go away!" He said, extending an arm towards the door.
