Tania's Sad Story

"Tania!, are you okay?" Alexa asked worriedly as the rest rushed up to Tania's direction. The presence of Zeke went unnoticed to them, he cooperated by standing aside as they all swamped up on her caring to know if she was alright or not.

Tania wiped out her snout and dried her tears with her palms when the other came in. They already had closed up on her, Their jitering questions were buzzing in her ears she didn't even know which to answer first. But she knew very much that they cared for her and that's the reason they all sneak from their duties to come check up on her.

"I'm alright guys." She replied with a deep friendly smile, but her voice was still cracked from the hurtful cry. "Thank you so much Vionna. Without you, I would have been in a more worse nightmare. Thank you so much." She looked thankfully at Vionna as she expressed her heartfelt words to her, added with the gratitude swirling in gaze which clearly said she meant it.

Vionna smiled in reply as she came closer to her because she was standing at the corner near the door. "It's Okay, you are welcome." She replied.

"I really mean it Vee, I'm so thankful right now. Is the anything I can do to repay because honestly you saved my life, most importantly my Job." She was so grateful for the help she got so she was ready to do anything in return.

"Don't say it like that Tania, you are very welcome. Besides I wasn't the only one that helped right." Vionna gazes travelled to Zeke's direction. It was a fast peek though.

Tania's immediately looked at Zeke the moment Vionna completed her statement, she remembered that he was still present. She gave him a fleeting glance and of course he was also looking at her. They both understood what Vionna was saying by her words.

"Young Master Lan also helped to stall time. I wouldn't have made it if he hadn't stop the Mistress earlier." Vionna completed.

"Yeah, Young Master too." Sandra joined in.

Tania brought her attention towards Zeke, she lowered her head a bit. "Thank you Young Master Lan. I appreciate your assistance. Please do send my gratitude to the Young Master too. I owe you guys a lot." She said in a more formal tone.

"I will, it's alright. I will take my leave now." Zeke said before he turned around so he could leave.

Tania wanted to stop him but then again what reason does she have to? She didn't feel like letting him go just yet, she wanted him to stay a little bit longer.

"Oh no! Look, the slap affected her other cheek too, it has also turned red." Jasmine voiced out.

Tania immediately covered both her cheeks when she was pulled back to reality by Jamine's words.

"Tania, are you blushing?" Vionna asked feigning doubt.

"What?" All of them exclaimed at Vionna's question.

"No... It's just the heat, yeah the heat." Luckily she hastenedly came up with an available excuse.

"Oh, I will help switch on the air conditioner." Mia rushed to switch it on.

"Now that you are okay, we will go back to work before the witch notices, oops I mean the Miss notices." Gwen giggled by her joke and all them laughed towards it. Tania wasn't an exclusion.

"Imagine, she hears you." Tania said trying to frighten them.

"Don't say that Tania, it's creeping me out." Gwen replied while shivering her body, Eliciting a loud laugh from them all.

They all separated to their different duties leaving only Vionna—The jobless one for now and Tania alone.

"You are really Good?" Vionna asked after the silence.

"Mmm." Tania nodded with a small hum.

"Life in here is really hard you know." Vionna said with a sigh.

"You just came and you are complaining, what about us, we have been here for Seven to eight years, since we were teenagers." Tania said with a reminiscing smile resting on her lips.

"What?!" Vionna literally shouted, she snapped her head towards Tania.

"Yeah, I don't know about you but we worked here right from teenage hood. We all came from an Ophanage."

Tania could sense the curiosity coming from Vionna so she decided to continue.

"The orphanage where we all stayed in was demolished because the owner was very old and he died. He had a son, but his son was nothing like him. He was kind, gentle and treated us all like his children, back then Gwen was his favorite." She smiled sadly as she recalled.

"His name is Mr Fu. He was a very nice and fatherly man."

"What happened after he died?" Vionna asked, she could feel the sadness radiating from Tania, so she mindfully and carefully asked.

"After he died...." She gave a short pause.

"After he died, of course his only son was to take over. But his son, was wicked and greedy, greedy for money. He couldn't even keep that orphanage as a remembrance of his father since that was the only thing left of him."

"He treacherously sold it out for a replacement building of one of the high ends hotels we know today." Tania said with anger. Her tears that had ceased before, came streaming down again. But she cried with no sounds.

"And you guys?" Vionna asked softly, not hoping for what she was thinking to be true.

Tania nodded while her tears kept falling. "Yes Vionna, he left us to find our way. He sent us away."

"It was a rainy night then, We were all soaked and shivering from the cold. We all held each other not wanting to separate. When we ran into Master Liu. Well his car almost hit Alexa while she was being reckless so from there, he noticed our condition and offered us help when we explained our situation to him. He was the blessing we had Vee."

"From then on we started to work here, as maids of this residence." By the time she was done, she had already become a weeping mess.

Vionna felt badly for her as she watched her cry bitterly. She immediately enveloped her In caring hug. Truthfully not everyone were born to be free from the Misfortune life randomly throws.
