Chapter 34- A Boy Or A Girl?

Anna stood rooted to the ground, "D- Delilah, w-where are we?", she stuttered.

"Huh? Where else? This is my home, is there something wrong?" Delilah was confused.

"I-Is…. Is t-this really y-y-your home?, Anna stammered again.

Delilah nodded, "This is my grandma's house".

"You live here with your grandma?", Anna stressed 'here' when she asked. What a grand house and the cars are exquisite.

They attended the same middle school before Anna's parents faced some financial crisis that made them relocate to D city, their home was sold to settle some debts, and they had no money to purchase a flat, the flats in C city were costly so they had to move to D city since the flats here were cheaper.

Anna had no idea Delilah was from such a wealthy family, she wouldn't know her if she hadn't helped her from some bullies, even if they both got beaten up in the end.

"Stop looking around and let's go in" Delilah held Anna by the wrist and pulled her into the house.

"Grandma, I am back", Delilah announced, she asked Anna to wait for her in the living room before she ran up the stairs.

"Young miss, you are back", Mrs. Feng Tian said in a whisper as she bowed slightly.

"Hmm-mm!" Delilah nodded and also bowed. She moved close to Mrs. Feng Tian Tian, "I have a friend downstairs, can you please help me take care of the person?", she whispered.

Mrs. Feng Tian Tian looked at the girl curiously, "A boy or a girl?", she interrogated.

Delilah rolled her eyes, "she's a girl, Mrs. Feng Tian Tian".

Mrs. Feng Tian Tian left with a shrug and Delilah happily skipped into Old madam Chen's room.

She saw the Old madam in her vintage rocking chair, knitting. She had her glasses on the tip of her nose and she was humming a song.

"Grandma!" Delilah yelled suddenly, she clearly was in a good mood. Too bad the sudden noise caused the poor Old madam to flinch that the scarf, the knitting pins, and yarns in her hands were thrown to the floor.

"Delilah, you spoiled brat! What is your problem? You startled me", Old madam Chen complained with a displeased and furious expression.

"I am sorry grandma", Delilah apologized as she picked up the knitting equipment on the floor.

" What do you want?" Old madam Chen asked after she'd collected her knitting equipment from Delilah.
